The Mansion awaits Requiem here in Season 3 of Black Ops 6 Zombies! With the third DLC Zombies map, we’re delving deep into the Mansion where Edward Richtofen has built his base of operations. Today, we’re going over how to fully complete the ‘Shattered Veil’ Easter Egg. We’ll also be highlighting the easiest methods to complete the Easter Egg for your convenience, as well as the rewards for completion. Here’s all you need to know regarding the ‘Shattered Veil’ Easter Egg!
Gain Access to the Mansion
You’ll want to make your way to the Mansion itself. There are 2 different paths to head to the mansion, each with their own respective perks & intel.

Repair the Elevator
Fuse 1
You’ll first want to get the fuse from the Maintenance Worker. This will be a highlighted Zombie, wearing a maintenance outfit. Once killed, he will drop a fuse.
Fuse 2
Now, you want to destroy Richtofen’s Computer located in his bedroom to obtain the circuit board. Shooting it will suffice & the circuit board will drop.
Repairing the Elevator
After gathering both parts, head to the back of the elevator. There, you’ll be able to repair the elevator. Activate the elevator & a horde of zombies will flood out. Kill them, head & rappel down into the room with S.A.M.
Obtain all the Mark 2 Variants
You’ll want to obtain all the Ray Gun Mark 2 Variants. We have full guides on how to obtain each one HERE. Once they’re obtained, you’ll then want to interact with computer towers next to 3 large paintings.
Painting 1
There is a large painting of Josiah Shem right before you interact with the elevator. Using the Ray Gun Mark 2 – P, kill zombies to charge the machine up & a portal will open up into a hidden room. There is also an item you can pick up off the main table in the middle of the room. It’s like a Ritual Vial, but a regular sized bottle.
Painting 2
There is a large painting of Colton in the study. Interact with the computer again & kill zombies using the Mark 2 – R to unlock a hidden room behind the painting.
Painting 3
If you notice in the main hall of the Mansion, you’ll notice a lamp missing off the wall on the left side. This lamp is located in a box. This box is situated in the room right before the elevator. Grab it & take it back to the main hall. Place it in the missing spot.
Once you complete the Simon says game, a secret room will open. Head down & interact with the machine next to the painting. Kill zombies with the Mark 2 – W to charge it.
After completing each painting lockdown, there will be a spectral entity in the room of each respective individual from the paintings.
Ritual Items
Flask
The first ritual item you can obtain will require the Brain Rot ammo mod. You can find a bell within the hallway next to Elemental Pop. Take this bell over to the bar in the upstairs area of the Main Foyer (room with the TREX Skeleton).
Place it down, use brain rot to turn a zombie, & then ring the bell. Once rang, the zombie will hop behind the counter, & drink from a flask. Upon death, the zombie will drop the flask. This is your first ritual item. Take it & head down downstairs to the room behind the painting in the cellar area.
Once down there, head to the pedestal & interact with it to place the Sentinel Artifact. This will begin a lockdown where you’ll need to kill a Mangler. This mangler is surrounded by a force field. To disable this, you’ll need the Ray Gun Mark 2 – W (the blue variant).
Once his shields down, he becomes vulnerable. Kill him, & the ghost will then be absorbed into the Sentinel Artifact. Take the Artifact & head out.
Nuclear Plans
For the second item, you’ll need to use Aether Shroud. While in Aether Shroud, you must find three glowing items. These glowing items can be located near the painting of Colton in the study. There are several spawns throughout the nearby rooms. If you happen to miss them in Aether Shroud, you can spot & grab them for a brief second once it ends.
Once you obtain all three, go into Colton’s painting & look for 3 books containing Chaos symbols. Now, head back into the real world, find those same books, & interact with them left to right (real world).
Do remember that the painting world is mirrored to the real world. So, when book you find on the left side of the painting world, it’ll be located on the right side of the real world.
After interacting with all 3, a secret chamber will open with the second ritual item, the nuclear plans. Take these & head into the Colton painting. Interact with the pedestal & it will begin a lockdown featuring an Amalgam. Same as the Mangler, use the Yellow Variant Mark 2 (Mark 2 – R) to destroy his shield & cause damage to him. Once dead, the ghost will be absorbed into the Sentinel Artifact.
Safe
After you find those symbols, they’ll activate 3 Chalices scattered around the map. These chalices will have to be interacted with in the following locations:
- One will be in Spawn.
- Another will be in the Foyer, on the balcony above the door.
- The final will be in the Bottlery next to glasses of wine.
After picking each up, it’ll spawn an Elder Disciple. Be sure to take them out, before they become an even bigger headache.
Once all three have been collected, there will be 3 numbers written in blood around the elevator in the room with the Shem painting. This combination of numbers will be for the safe in the West Hallways. The ritual item lies within the safe. Take this item into the pink portal (Josiah Shem) & interact with the pedestal to initiate the final ritual lockdown. This will spawn a Disciple you need to kill. Just like the Amalgam & Mangler, use the specific Ray Gun Mark 2(The Mark 2 – P) to take down its shield & kill it.
Shem will then be absorbed into the Sentinel Artifact, & if all three are complete, the Sentinel Artifact will be fully powered. *You need the specific-colored Mark 2 Variants to initiate the Ritual Lockdowns.
Once all of the Ritual Items have been obtained, you’ll be ready for:
BOSS FIGHT
Once handing the Sentinel Artifact over to S.A.M, you’ll be given some dialogue from her, revealing she has other goals in mind, different from ours. But sends us away to a room with Richtofen. A lengthy cutscene will play, & we’ll be catapulted into the Z-REX Boss Fight. The speculations were true, the TREX Skeleton in the main hall is the Boss Fight.

Once the fight begins, you’ll notice the eyes are glowing. They are critical damage points you’ll want to aim for. Another critical point is within its abdomen, presumably its heart. The final critical spot you can hit is when the Z-REX Roars, the mouth is a critical spot.
As far as weapons go, Tier 3 Pack-A-Punched Weapons are a must. The Ray Gun Mark 2 – W is a great weapon to bring in. Bullet weapons are mixed at best, but maybe there’s some that work better than others. If you can bring in items for Zombie Crowd Control (Wunderwaffe, Gersch’s, Monkey Bombs; GobbleGums like Idle Eyes, Reign Drops, Near Death if co-op; as well as possibly a Chopper Gunner, it’ll be a major help.
The Z-REX has 3 phases. Once enough damage is done, it will hop up onto a cliffside high above the boss fight area. Once up there, it will spew down Acid Rain on the players. Be sure to avaoid it, as well as the toxic zones on the ground. These zones will stunt healing pretty harshly. Be on your guard for when the REX jumps back down.
Once the Z-REX’s health reaches zero, you have then completed the ‘Shattered Veil’ Main Easter Egg Quest! The final cutscene will play, & you’ll be given the option to quit or go back in-game & claim some rewards (Tier 3 PAP Crystals, Ray Gun Mark 1, Epic Aether Tools, Points, Salvage, & Free Perkaholic.
Rewards
After completing the ‘Shattered Veil’ Main Quest, you’ll earn the “PhDeadly” Operator Skin for Major Carver. This is beyond an interesting skin as it’s quite literally the attire of the Pentagon Thief from back on Five (BO1 Zombies). Even down to the glasses, it’s 100% inspired from the Pentagon Thief. The skin for Carver also is carrying a small T-Rex skull in a bag, as well as what appears to be a miniature S.A.M.

Completion of this Main Quest also will snag you an early completion calling card. This simply shows you completed the Easter Egg before Directed Mode releases for the map.
