LOADOUT RECOMMENDATIONS

To start off this guide, we decided to give you a quick section on what you should bring with you into the quest. It’s good to come prepared with a few GobbleGums that will save you money in the long run, but it’s not required. We recommend equipping your GobbleGum Packs with the following Gums:

  • Perkaholic (Soda Fountain, Reign Drops, or On The House will work as backup)
  • Hidden Power
  • Power Keg
  • Idle Eyes
  • Near Death Experience (Co-Op)
  • Phoenix Up (Co-Op)
  • Profit Sharing (Co-Op)
  • Wonderbar (Possibility for Gorofex WW in box. You’ll at least get a Ray Gun Mk 1 or Mk 2 for backup)
  • Respin Cycle (For respinning Wonderbar to try and get the Gorofex or preferred Ray Gun)

On top of this, you will need to bring a reliable weapon. We recommend:

  • ASG 89 Shotgun (Add Tac Laser for the ability to enter Tac-Stance which will give better movement while aiming)
  • AS Val Assault Rifle (Add Tac Laser for the ability to enter Tac-Stance which will give better movement while aiming)
  • 9mm PM Pistol (Akimbo w/ Skull Splitter Barrel)
  • LMG w/ Crossbar (XMG or GPMG)

Finally, you should consider which Field Upgrade you’d need to stick with. Really any Field Upgrade will do, but for the Boss Fight, we recommend the following (there’s a reason Power Keg is a recommended Gum):

  • Aether Shroud (For inputting damage to the Bosses safely)
  • Healing Aura (For reviving teammates)
  • Frenzied Guard (To save you in sticky situations)

MAIN QUEST STEPS

Below will be the Main Quest/Easter Egg steps for the Reckoning. There are two endings you can get for this Main Quest, however, which ending you get will be decided by a vote (more on that later). For reference, Tower 1 is T1 and Tower 2 is T2.

BUILD KLAUS

You will need to build Klaus to REALLY start this quest. To make things easier off the bat, stay in the spawn room until Round 6. Doing this will allow you to not only gain enough points to open the rest of the map, but it will allow you to get the first part to building Klaus. Also, while you’re in spawn, find a mop bucket and punch it until it is underneath the sprinklers that are spraying, this will save you some time for a later step.

  • Klaus Arms
    • Shooting the corresponding arms on the Kommando Klaus’ will have a chance for one of the arms to drop as a collectable part.
    • You will need both the left and right arm. Players have a chance to get one of them early if they stay in the spawn until Round 5, since it will ALWAYS be a Kommando Klaus Special Round.
    • It is a high chance an arm will drop during Round 5, so if you happen to get unlucky (like we did once), it’s best to restart the run to avoid waiting too long to start the Main Quest.
  • Klaus Legs
    • Both of Klaus’ legs can be found within the T2 Android Assembly. They will not glow golden like the arms, but they will be easily recognizable.
    • Carefully check shelves, doorframes, and dark places. The legs will almost always spawn near a wall rather than out in the open.
  • Crafting & Powering Klaus
    • Once you’ve collected all four limbs, you can craft Klaus in the T1 Android Assembly in a space right next to a Jump Pad (his head and torso will be hanging already).
    • Once you’ve interacted with him and placed his limbs, you will need to wait for an Uber Klaus to spawn and shoot his charged shot next to Klaus to power him on (you can still power Klaus on with the charged shot even if you do not have all of his limbs).

There are two ways to guarantee an Uber Klaus to spawn:

  • Round 15 or Round 16 (if the previous round is a Special Round) will always spawn an Uber Klaus.
  • When crafting the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon, the final step will spawn an Uber Klaus, of which you can lead to the craftable Klaus before completing the Wonder Weapon step. If you want to know how to build the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon, you can check out our guide here!

FOLLOW KLAUS & THE FOWLER INJECTION

After Klaus is built and powered on, you must wait for him to start typing at the computer right next to where you built him. It should be immediate; afterwards, pass the round. You’ll know it’s time for the next step when the SAM Trial notification shows up for the T2 Dark Entity Containment area.

Klaus will stop typing at the computer, and he will need you to follow him to the SAM Trial in T2 Dark Entity Containment. You must complete the Trial enable to move forward in this step. If you fail, you will need to wait for the Trial to respawn and try again. If completed however, he will leave the area and move towards the locked door in the area that has a scanner in front of it.

Enable to open the door, you need to trick the scanner. Go down to the T1 Mutant Research Lab and look for a tube holding a Mangler HVT. To the right will be a centrifuge that you must interact with of which will give you a Syringe.

Once you have the Syringe, you need to go to the Pack-A-Punch room and jump into one of the ends of the Particle Accelerator. Doing this will cause you to turn into an orb, and your goal is to avoid hitting the objects within the beam EXCEPT for the zombie body. Hitting the body as an orb will return you to human form and cause the zombie body to fall to the floor; allowing you to interact with it and fill the Syringe with Blood.

Take the Blood back to the centrifuge and place it back in it. This will cause the Mangler HVT to come to life and you will need to defeat him to obtain the Fowler Mutant Injection (an Elder Disciple will come out of a tube on the opposite wall, so be prepared to take it down). This Mutant Injection is different than the normal one as it will allow you to make the scanner think you are Fowler. Simply return to the scanner, use the injection, and let the scanner complete it’s scan until your injection is over to open the door. If you somehow fail or use the injection accidentally, you can return to the centrifuge and purchase another for some Salvage.

After the door is open, there will be a Red Portal that Klaus will enter that will lead to the T2 Teleportation Chamber. He will interact with the computer in that room, and then tell you he will need a Brain to power the system.

GIVE KLAUS THE BRAIN

The Brain will be located in the T1 Quantum Containment room. It will be in a machine with a green light that has the Janus logo on it. You will need to purchase Melee Macchiato (conveniently in the same room) and punch the machine to reveal the Brain.

Be prepared, because you will need to pick up the Brain by interacting with it, and rush it back to Klaus before it rots. Once you pick up the Brain, you will move slightly slower and cannot fire your weapon. The Brain can be place in a similar machine that’s next to Klaus in the T2 Teleportation Chamber.

WASH THE HEAD

Assuming you still have the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon, you will need to return to the T1 Quantum Containment room and look up high and find a zombie resting in a barrier high on the wall. Once you’ve located it, shoot the Gorgofex into the hole in the barrier. This will cause the zombie’s head to fall on the ground nearby (same place every time) and you will need to pick it up.

After picking up the head, you will need to find a yellow mop bucket. There are a few places it can be at all times, but you need to focus on the one where the sprinklers are going off on the roof. It’s believed you can activate the sprinklers via flame weapons, but we had them randomly be on in their specific areas. Once you’ve located the correct area, you need to melee the mop bucket to move it underneath the sprinkler going off. Doing this will fill the bucket with water; once full you can place the head in it. See why I said to do this when you spawned in earlier?

You will now have two ways you can do this next part. You will have to kill zombies for their souls to empower the head. One way to do this is by leaving the head in the bucket as you get kills, or by taking the head out and dropping to wherever you prefer to get the kills (either way works). If done correctly the head will say a quote, and you can then take it to the T2 Teleportation Room. The head will eventually do damage to you if you hold onto it for too long during this part, so make sure you bring it there quickly. Once dropped, the head will roll around. You can freely leave the head in that room; it will not despawn, but will roll around the room.

REPOWER THE TELEPORTER

Next, you will need to find the passcode for the interactable desktop computer in the T2 Teleportation Room. You can do this by finding interactable folders in a variety of places.

Essentially, you will need to order the items by the date they were found from youngest to oldest. Each item is numbered and will have the date listed for you to view. The passcode for the computer is a 4 digit code and the numbers that will be inputted are 1, 2, 3, & 4. The order of the numbers will be determined by which item is the most recently dated to the oldest dated. The dates of every item is the same every game, but the number associated to them will be different each game.

Once you’ve gotten the code, input it into the computer, and make your way to the Pack-A-Punch room. In the overhanging room, there will be a console with a big red button. Hit that big red button, and kill zombies near the console to charge it with souls. Once completed, you will then need to kill the blue Vermin enemies with the Gorgofex (has to be the Gorgofex). There’s not a lot of Vermin, and the pylon hanging outside the window will have a blue static orb on top of it once completed. You will need to pick up that orb, of which will charge the Gorgofex.

With the charged Gorgofex, you need to run back to the T2 Teleportation Room and shoot the teleporter with a charged shot from it. Afterwards, pick up the charged zombie head and place it in the teleporter. This should allow you to continue onto the second to final step, which has to do with the blue cannisters you might have seen around the map.

FOUR VACUUM SEAL DEVICES

The next step requires you to pick up the Vacuum Seal Devices (which will look like Kazimir Devices), and throw them directly at floating purple items around the map. They can be in any area, but the common places are: T1 Executive Suites. T1 Reception, and T1 Mutant Lab Research (usually 1 – 3 items every game can be commonly found in these locations).

Be careful to not get too close as they will run away from you to a new location in the area; the items will make a humming noise when close. After you’ve collected them all, take all four devices to the T2 Teleportation Room and place them in the device in front of the teleporter.

This next step is going to require some agility (or good teammates). You will be ambushed by a bunch of zombies coming out of the teleporter. Around the room will be switches you must flip up, but the catch is the order is specific. While you are timed, the best method is to run to each, killing zombies and interacting with each switch until they are all green (there are 5 total switches). The time limit on this step is gracious, and you won’t reset any switches if you interact with the wrong one (the switches won’t flip if it’s not the right one, so keep interacting until all 5 are green). If done correctly, the device where you placed the devices should have a text in green stating you were successful.

BOSS FIGHT PREPARATION

Congratulations, you have made it to the final step. Unlike every Black Ops 6 Zombies Main Quest, Reckoning features 2 separate boss fights, and this is where you will get your decision on who to fight: S.A.M. or Richtofen. For those playing in both Co-Op or Solo, this guide should be useful for either of you. Once you interact with the teleporter, you will be approached by the final encounter (boss fight/boss fights). However, before you go in, you must prepare for the worst. Here’s what we recommend EVERY player must have before entering:

  • Pack-A-Punch Tier III (Main Weapon) *
  • Gold Rarity (Main Weapon) *
  • Kazimir Devices (Not the ones used for the Quest)
  • Self Revive *
  • Killstreak (Death Machine, War Machine, Grim Reaper, or Chopper Gunner)
  • Aether Shroud
  • Near Death Experience GobbleGum
  • Idle Eyes GobbleGum
  • Phoenix Up GobbleGum

(* An absolute requirement.)

Of course, not everyone will have those GobbleGums, so feel free to bring others that might be of use from the list at the start of the article, but that specific loadout usually holds the best results. You are also free to bring a Wonder Weapon; the Gorgofex should be avoided unless you are able to obtain a variant and Pack-A-Punch it at least once. Try and obtain a Ray Gun Mk 1 or Mk 2 and upgrade either at least once (if you can’t, it should still do enough damage during tough situations).

S.A.M. BOSS FIGHT

Once you or your team has accepted to enter the final encounter, you will be teleported to a new area with a console in the middle. Once a player interacts with the console, you will be given another choice to either help Richtofen or S.A.M. of which will decide who you fight. Enable to fight S.A.M. you must choose to help Richtofen. This will cause the player who interacted with the console to enter a cutscene where they grab the purple vial and smash it on the ground, and replace it with the blue DNA Vial you grabbed earlier.

Richtofen will come over the comms and thank you for choosing to help him, and then S.A.M. will spawn zombies on the platform to try and stop you. The platform is an elevator, and will stop twice on it’s way to the top. The first place, will require you to fill 3 Soul Boxes that are within the outer ring that will now be opened to you. They can be filled in any order; there is a box on the far right wall, the middle wall, and the far left wall. Once all boxes are filled, you or you and your team will need to run back to the platform to continue.

Next, the platform will reach the next room which will require you to shoot purple Aetherium Crystals on pipes throughout the room. They are easy to spot, and every crystal will emit purple gas once shot. It can look a little confusing at first, but should be very easy. This is also your last minute chance to purchase any perks or support items before you fight the boss. Once you or you and your team are ready, rush back to the platform and prepare to fight.

Once the platform reaches the top, S.A.M. will spawn in and the fight will begin. She can spawn zombies and Doppleghast enemies to try and take you down. The zombies aren’t as big of a priority. S.A.M. will also be shielded for most of the fight, so you should focus on clearing Doppleghasts whenever you get a chance while watching out for S.A.M.’s attacks until you get an opening. Speaking of, she has three main attacks:

  • Laser Attack
    • S.A.M. will stop at one of the corners of the arena and shoot a red laser for a short amount of time at players. She usually focuses a player during this time, so the best bet is to hide behind cover until she is done. Once she is done, she will enter a cooldown where her shields will go down and four vents will open on her casing. If possible, pop Aether Shroud and coordinate with your team which one to focus on (for example: “Top Left” will let your team know to focus the top left vent). You may not break it on your first try, but once broken you can move on to another vent. She won’t do this attack all the time, but once you’ve broken all vents, her eye will turn red and will be attackable at all times until her next phase.
  • Roaming Attack
    • S.A.M. will roam the skies in a circle around the area where she will shoot purple blasts at you and the team (she usually targets one player at a time). Best thing to do here is run around in circles to avoid taking damage. She cannot be damaged during this phase unless you’ve shot all of her panels off during the Laser Attack Cooldown. During that time, her eye will turn red and will be attackable until the end of the phase as stated previously.
  • BeyBlade Attack
    • S.A.M. will fly to the middle of the arena and will spin around, dropping plasma shots in her wake that will linger a bit. It is vital to stay out of the way of her attacks during this time; it is her most lethal attack (not as much in the first phase). She can take damage during this attack, so if you can attack her, go for it.

Once you’ve done enough damage, she will spawn a portal and go up into it. You and your team can do damage to her during this, so make sure to get some shots in. Take this time to get ammo and find some armor plates, for she will return shortly in a new phase. It’s possible you will be hit with an S.A.M. Trial during this section. It is not required to complete, but in doing so will give you or you and your team buffs, and if you fail, you will get a temporary nerf. For example:

  • BUFF
    • No zombie spawns for a short amount of time
  • NERF
    • Weapon damage reduced for a short amount of time

At the start of her next phase, multiple portals will spawn, and you will need to look for the one that doesn’t drop zombies; S.A.M. will return in that portal. You will need to essentially do the same thing as last time, but it’s good to know that her attacks will now do more damage, and she will move during her BeyBlade attack. You may also encounter another S.A.M. Trial, so be prepared for that. Once you’ve done enough damage, S.A.M. will be defeated, and you will have completed Reckoning’s Main Quest!

With each new phase she will gain more damage and she will move more places during her BeyBlade attack too, so stay on your toes as much as possible.

RICHTOFEN BOSS FIGHT

This is a boss most people have a struggle with. As listed at the top of the article, there are recommended weapons for completing the Main Quest with, and that is very important for this one. We have found that keeping your distance and constantly moving during this boss is super vital, especially during the final phases. You can use the shotguns or even AMR if you choose, but do keep in mind that using an LMG with a Crossbar attachment, or the AS Val with Tac-Laser and no stock will allow you to input decent damage while staying a good distance away, and will also allow you to run away when needed. Regardless, you should always be moving, and take your time.

Luckily, the phase before Richtofen is the same as S.A.M., so we will put a direct copy and paste from the previous segment.

Once you or your team has accepted to enter the final encounter, you will be teleported to a new area with a console in the middle. Once a player interacts with the console, you will be given another choice to either help Richtofen or S.A.M. of which will decide who you fight. Enable to fight Richtofen you must choose to help S.A.M.

S.A.M. will come over the comms and be delighted that you chose to help her. Richtofen will then spawn Kommando Klaus’ to try and stop you.

This is where Richtofen is different than S.A.M. for instead of zombies, he will also have Kommando Klaus enemies coming after you. Richtofen will also be equipped in an Uber Klaus suit. You will fight this phase just like you’d fight a regular Uber Klaus; shoot the shield’s on his shoulders until broken to input the most damage. Once his health is drained, he will break out of the suit and start his next phase.

During this phase, Richtofen will burst out and fly in a jetpack while shooting you with a Wunderwaffe DG-2. This is the part that usually ruins solo and co-op runs alike. It’s much easier to do in co-op because Richtofen will focus one player at a time. Like mentioned previously, keep your distance and take your time. The Wunderwaffe DG-2 will mostly stun you at first, but eventually can one shot you and even break the Quick Revive Dying Wish Augment. Be wary when running around because Richtofen will also throw stun grenades, and set traps such as the Blast Trap and Shock Charges to try and get the upper hand.

When Richtofen moves to his next phase, he will ascend into the air and once he returns will launch a dive bomb attack and throw down a killstreak. Steer clear of his path (the mini-map is useful in this case), and you should survive the attacks. With each new phase there will be an Uber Klaus enemy that will spawn, so make sure to take it out to make running around much easier. Once you’ve done enough damage, Richtofen will be defeated, and you will have completed Reckoning’s Main Quest!

With each new phase he will gain more damage and will place more traps too, so stay on your toes as much as possible.
