Content creators got flown out to Infinity Ward to try Beenox’s NEW Warzone map, Vondel
The Warzone Map People Have Been Asking For
From what feels like a blend between Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, Vondel brings fan to the most unique points of interest and map flow that Warzone has ever seen. From the vibrant colors to the crystal clear water, Resurgence has NEVER been a more fluid experience inside of Warzone. During last week’s capture event, Beenox confirmed that Vondel does not borrow assets from any other map, including the Amsterdam campaign mission, and is completely derived from the creative map designed, shared with some inspiration from the real life Vondel park. The verticality on Vondel allows for different styles of movement, as players can jump to nearly every building using the rooftops, instead of having to go back on the ground to move to their next hotspot. With Beenox being the team behind some of Blackout’s development and all of Rebirth Island, they knew exactly what fans were asking for with another small scale resurgence map.
Where Can I Watch Early Vondel Gameplay?
Select creators had the opportunity to play two matches of resurgence, and two matches of lockdown at Infinity Ward. Gameplay was published beginning at 9am PT, 11am CT, and 12pm ET on June 13th. You can checkout raw footage of Resurgence here:
