With Season 2 launching just less than 2 weeks ago here in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone, players have gotten their hands on the new Zombies map “The Tomb”. They’ve gotten to enjoy the returning “Death Perception” perk, as well as the Legendary Ice Staff making a comeback. But what else has been rumored to return? Perks, Wonder Weapons, Gobblegums, they’re all on the table of BO6 possibilities. Today, we’re going over the rumored & leaked content possibly coming to Black Ops 6. Here’s what you need to know.
Perks
With the next map bringing us to the mansion, we could be seeing the return of Double Tap! Not seen since Black Ops 3 back in 2024, Double Tap is one of the iconic perks we’ve been missing in the recent Treyarch Zombies iterations. Along with the leaks, there’s also been teasers of Double Tap on certain operator skins & weapon blueprints. Aside from those, are last reference to Double Tap was an advertisement poster in Black Ops: Cold War.
A potential logo redesign for Double Tap has been passed around online, courtesy of CODWarfareForum & RealityUK over on Twitter. This is a potential spoiler that we’ll see Double Tap released in Season 3, alongside the release of the Mansion Zombies Map in Black Ops 6.
According to RealityUK over on Twitter, Double Tap reportedly could be returning in DLC 3 & will have the following Augments:
- Double Impact
- Double Jeopardy
- Double Standard
- Double Play
- Double or Nothing
- Double Time
While little information is known about these augments at this time, we here at Detonated will keep you updated on if it releases.
Another couple of perks that have been teased/leaked are Mule Kick & Tombstone. While we saw Tombstone in MWZ, & Mule Kick back in Cold War, they haven’t been seen in machine form since. Leaks have revealed they are in the game files, & we may see them return in either the Mansion, or DLC 4 for Black Ops 6 Zombies. Both have a fair shake at returning, both have their positives, & their detriments. Players are in for a treat regardless, especially with the new augment system. They could add a variety of augment abilities to any of these 3 potential returning perks.
Gobblegums
For our roster of returning Gobblegums, it’s been confirmed we’ll see the fan favorite gum “Shopping Free” make its way back to players stashes. Unlocking the entire map was always a fun way to get set up early on in the game! A classic Gobblegum fans have been waiting for. Other Rumored/Leaked Gobblegums possibly coming to Black Ops 6 include:
- Aftertaste
- Player keeps all perks after being Revived.
- Fear in Headlights
- All zombies caught within the players’ gaze will freeze in place.
- Head Drama
- All damage done to an enemy will be counted as headshot damage. If you shoot an enemy in the toe, it will count as head damage.
- Flavor Hexed
- Awards players with a random Gobblegum.
- Power Vaccum – Epic
- Increases the Power-Up drop rate dramatically.
- Ammo Chaos – Legendary (NEW)
- Support Group – Ultra (NEW)
- Absolutely Over There – Legendary (NEW)
Plenty of Gobblegums for players to chew & reap the benefits. What other Gobblegums would you like to see return? Anyone got a quarter?
Wonder Weapons
The intro cutscene for Liberty Falls takes place inside the Mansion, not too far from Liberty Falls itself. in the cutscene, Richtofen brandished the ever-popular Wonder Weapon, the Wunderwaffe DG-2 to fight off the invading dead. With the team heading to the Mansion next, we’re likely going to see the Waffe make its’ return to the field of action. More likely than not, it will be a build quest wonder weapon, similar to how the Jet Gun, Ice Staff, & Beamsmasher were.
Leaks have also suggested we’ll be seeing the reemergence of the Ray Gun Mk.2 in the near future. The Ray Gun Mk.2 was a universally requested wonder weapon that fans have been clamoring for, since its’ last appearance in Black Ops 4. With that being said, we might see it in DLC 4 instead of the Mansion, but who knows? Maybe we see both wonder weapons in the Mansion map.
Extra Content Returning
There are a couple more miscellaneous items rumored/leaked to return in Black Ops 6. One of those is the ammo mod, Shatter Blast. Shatter Blast provided a way for players bullets to do explosive damage on their opposing undead foes. There was also a chance a bullet could do additional damage, &/or destroy enemy armor. This could be a fun ammo mod to have back, especially when dealing with the Manglers on Liberty Falls.
Recent leaks suggest these will be the augments for Shatter Blast:
- Big Game
- Blast Zone
- Blast Repair
- Blast Wave
- Blast Chain
- Blast Boost
The other returning item would be the field upgrade, Frost Blast. This field upgrade would surround the player with an icy radius circle. Any enemies that would enter the icy field would be slowed down & begin to take frost damage. This was good for trying to slow down the hordes around you. Maybe give yourself some breathing room. Imagine having Frost Blast, as well as Winters Wail from Black Ops 4? The augments for Frost Blast could be crazy, like a blizzard augment, or it fully freezes the zombies like the Ice Staff.
Recent leaks have also surfaced about Frost Blast augments. Here’s what they may be:
- Cast
- Extension
- Frostbite
- High Capacity
- Flash Freeze
- Slick
