Call of Duty Talks on SBMM, Plans to Reveal More Info about MW3

Call of Duty’s SBMM or Skill Based Matchmaking has been an issue with players for many years. Even though SBMM has been in Call of Duty for over a decade, it was ramped up in MW2019 in an effort for casuals to adjust to the game. DETONATED got an official statement from Call of Duty about SBMM that’s going to excite many people who have an issue on Skill Based Matchmaking. Here’s what you need to know:

COD SPEAKS OUT ON SBMM

At the start of December, DETONATED got an official statement from Call of Duty about SBMM and what they’ve been looking at in an effort to adjust it.

OFFICIAL CALL OF DUTY STATEMENT | DETONATED RELEASE

This is huge info considering there hasn’t been much of anything relating to the SBMM in Call of Duty, which seems to be the community’s biggest complaint with Modern Warfare III. There isn’t an explanation yet as to what they are working on for SBMM, but this shows the community that they are looking into what can be changed.

WHEN WILL WE GET MORE?

At the end of the statement, Call of Duty said they would tell us more “in the coming weeks after Season 1 launches”. It’s been almost a month since the Season 1 launch, so the info will most likely release either right before we get an intel drop on Season 1 Reloaded, or during Season 1 Reloaded. Since it’s been the holidays these last few weeks, it’s expected for us not to get a big bombshell of information like that until after they’re over.

Remember, MW3 & Warzone Season 1 Reloaded begins on January 17th, at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. So we have a good length of time where Call of Duty could drop any info on SBMM.

THE END

How do you feel about SBMM finally getting addressed? Remember to always check back to know when this information drops! DETONATED will be quickly covering the topic as soon as more info releases! Below is a video that goes deeper into this topic!
