Call of Duty Advanced Warfare 2 NOT Happening | Sledgehammer’s New Game Leaked

Black Ops 7 hasn’t released yet and we already have brand new details on Sledgehammer’s next COD title that’s slated to be releasing in 2027. Today we will be discusing, Sledgehammer’s next COD title not being a sequel to Advanced Warfare, MW3’s iconic ‘Get High’ mode making its return, brand new mechanics getting introduced + more! Here is what you need to know:

NO ADVANCED WARFARE 2?

Recently, Reliable leaker @GhostOfHope posted a bombshell on Twitter that states the next Sledgehammer Games COD title releasing in 2027 will not be a sequel to Advanced Warfare but a completely brand new sub-franchise set in the modern era.

As always take these “leaks” with a grain of salt however it would be interesting to see Call of Duty giving their take on a brand new sub-franchise with 3 years of development this time around unlike with Vanguard…

NO ZOMBIES FOR THE 3RD MODE?

COD 2027 not having a Zombies mode could be a positive for the start of this new sub-franchise considering the development teams focus could entirely be on the Multiplayer portion of this game.

With DMZ 2.0 rumored to be MW4’s 3rd mode and with recent leaks suggesting Sledgehammer’s next sub-franchise game will not have Zombies for its 3rd mode, this marks the first time in COD’s history we will not have Zombies as a 3rd mode in Call of Duty for 2 straight years.

NEW MOVEMENT FOR COD 2027?

Recent leaks are also suggesting SHG’s will be introducing brand new mechanics to the franchise heavily focusing on movements such as, “Karate Kicks” & “Karate Chops”

It’s unclear if Omni-Directinal Movement will be making its return but considering MW4 is rumored to have returned back to basic movement it’s likely Sledgehammar will follow suit.

WHAT WILL THE 3RD MODE FOR COD 2027 BE?

The iconic MW3 mode ‘Get High’ is rumored to be returning and could very well be the third mode for COD 2027.

Leaker @GhostOfHope also Tweeted “imagine the possibility of ‘Get High’ as a third mode for COD 2027 with full-fledged leaderboards & community-made maps + more”.

It would be interesting to see Sledghammer expanding with the ‘Get High’ mode making it suitable for a on-disc third mode experience and with the 3-year development time it’s possible Sledghammer turns this third mode into a good competitor alongside DMZ & Zombies.
