Marketing has already begun for the next season, as Season 2 of Black Ops 7 is coming to a close.
As Treyarch has confirmed, every Reloaded update moving forward will introduce a new DLC Zombies map for players to experience; and Season 3 Reloaded is no exception.
So, what is Totenreich? When can we play it? Here’s everything we know so far based on publicly available information
When does Totenreich Release in Black Ops 7 Zombies?
Going forward, we’ll be getting a new DLC Zombies map with each Reloaded update at the midpoint of every season, with Totenreich arriving as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update.
Season 3 is set to launch on April 2, and, as is typical for Call of Duty, the Reloaded update is expected to drop around 3–4 weeks later.
Based on that timeline, we can estimate Season 3 Reloaded will release in late April or early May with a bunch of Zombies content and more.
Black Ops 7 Zombies DLC 3 Map: Totenreich

Totenreich is the newest upcoming Zombies map, set to arrive with the launch of Season 3 Reloaded. As the Twins have hinted in Paradox Junction, it will take place “somewhere cold”—specifically, a Norwegian fishing town trapped within the Dark Aether.
In classic Call of Duty Zombies fashion, the map’s name is German, translating to “Realm of the Dead,” reinforcing the throwback Zombies vibe it appears to be aiming for. From the name to the “bad German” soldier zombie designs, the map clearly leans into classic themes.
Based on these details, Totenreich is likely to play a major role in the story, potentially serving as the map where Richtofen regains his soul, possibly alongside one of the Requiem crew members.
According to the Call of Duty Blog, the town is trapped in time after Group 935’s experiments resulted in the entire area being pulled into the Dark Aether.
The art provided in aforementioned Blog also shows a portion of the town itself, featuring a large lighthouse to the right and what seems to be a giant robot hidden in the fog.
Speculations are going around that the map has bits and pieces inspired by the previous Aether storyline, such as Call of The Dead/Tag Ter Toten, Town and Origins.
Given that the Giant robot is also a boss in Endgame it wouldn’t be that big of a surprise if they used those assets to turn it into a map specific feature; whether that is a trap, easter egg step or even a boss.
Wild Fire Field Upgrade
Alongside the Totenreich map itself we are getting a new Field Upgrade named Wild Fire.
It is described to be a Field Upgrade that releases a flaming blast upon usage, engulfing Zombies in flames and causing damage both instantly and over time, slowing down the hordes whilst the user also getting a movement speed boost.
Which means that Wild Fire will make for a good Field Upgrade to run during easter egg steps that require you to navigate through tight corridors, or areas where you are being flooded with enemies and need that quick getaway boost, taking down zombies with you as you backpedal to safety.
We will get more information about the Wild Fire Field Upgrade in the Season 3 Reloaded blog, including a full list of its Augments.
Iconic 1911’s are back!

The iconic 1911 Pistol is also scheduled to be added to the Black Ops 7 arsenal somewhere in Season 3 as a Weekly Challenge Reward.
It comes as a singular pistol that you can eventually dual-wield by leveling it up and equipping the appropriate attachment, letting you mow down hordes of Zombies in style.
Speaking of Zombies, the 1911 Pistol is also confirmed to be shooting explosive projectiles when Pack-A-Punched just like the good ole’ days!
And if you Prestige the 1911 you can also turn the pistol into an automatic weapon, resulting in a fast firing, pocket sized explosive weapon!
Ultra-Rarity Legacy Weapon
And last but not least, Season 3 Reloaded is also bringing a Legacy Weapon back with some unique twists.
It is not mentioned what specific Legacy Weapon will be coming, but it is confirmed that this weapon can only be acquired from the Mystery Box outside of the Cursed game mode.
The Legacy Weapon will only be available its Ultra-Rarity, a Weapon Rarity Level above Legendary (Gold), and is said to be rivaling the Wonder Weapons when it comes to its stats.
This makes the weapon potentially one of the best weapons in the entire Zombies game mode, so it is only a matter of time before we get to know if this is the new meta to be melting any boss with!
