Black Ops 6 Zombies ‘Pack-A-Punch’ Super Easter Egg Reward

With the recent Detonated scoop of potential Zombie ‘Super Easter Egg’ rewards being added into Black Ops 6 Zombies, the zombies community is in a bit of a shock as It’s rumored Zombies ‘Super Easter Egg’ rewards were discussed during a recent Call of Duty Recon meeting. The focus group agreed unlocking universal Pack-a-Punch camos would be huge rewards for completing all main quest inside of Black Ops 6 Zombies. While this isn’t a definitive answer that these Pack-a-Punch camos are a reward for completing all main quests, it was noted and will be brought to the studios as feedback.

Additionally, its important to mention that this was brought up randomly by a participant in the focus group, and was simply bringing up the fact that many players would enjoy these a reward for completing all Easter Eggs in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Any other discussion about the Super Easter Egg did not happen in this meeting except for this topic about Pack a Punch Camos.

The History of Super Easter Eggs in Call of Duty Zombies

Call of Duty Zombies has featured several ‘Super Easter Eggs during its nearly 20 year run. Overarching quests that span multiple maps and often reward players with significant in-game bonuses.

Black Ops 1 Zombies Rewards:

In Black Ops 1, the concept of a “Super Easter Egg” as a formal mechanic (like in Black Ops 3 or Cold War) didn’t fully exist yet. However, players after completing both, Call Of The Dead, Shangri-La, and Moon Easter Eggs will get rewarded with the ‘Big Bang Theory’ achievement.

Black Ops 2 Zombies Rewards:

Just as in Black Ops 1 the term “Super Easter Eggs” wasn’t really recognized during Black Ops 2 however, BO2 did featured an overarching Easter Egg storyline that spanned multiple maps (specifically, TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried) and allowed players to make key choices affecting the story, choosing to side with Maxis or Richtofen. This branching choice system is what most fans consider the Black Ops 2 version of a ‘Super Easter Egg’

In each of the three main Zombies maps with Easter eggs (Tranzit, Die Rise, and Buried), players can complete a quest that either helps Dr. Ludvig Maxis or Edward Richtofen. Your choice locks you into that character’s side for the remainder of the game on that profile. Upon completing either Maxis or Richtofen’s side of the Easter Eggs on, TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried, players are rewarded with the option to hit the giant button inside of the court room, and upon doing so, Maxis or Richtofen will talk to you solidifying the completion of the ‘Super Easter Egg’

Black Ops 3 Zombies Rewards:

When all of the Easter eggs are completed (with the same team or solo), a cutscene is unlocked at the end of Revelations, followed by the “A Better Tomorrow” achievement/trophy. Players are also rewarded with the RK5 as a starting weapon and extra magazines added into the MR6 or the 1911.

Black Ops 4 Zombies Rewards:

Black Ops 4 Zombies was heavily anticipated to feature a grand ‘Super Easter Egg’ a culmination reward for players who completed all the main quest Easter Eggs across its maps. However, unlike it’s predecessor (such as Black Ops 3, which featured a full fledged ‘Super Easter egg’ in the form of a bonus cutscene in Revelations), Black Ops 4 did not include a fully implemented super Easter Egg, though there’s compelling evidence it was planned and later scrapped.

Treyarch developers also hinted at bigger rewards for players who completed all Easter eggs. The community expected a unifying narrative payoff, especially with the ‘Chaos’ and ‘Aether’ storylines being told simultaneously. Dataminers found unused strings, voice lines, and scripts in the game’s files that referenced a super Easter egg.

Black Ops Cold War Easter Egg rewards:

In Black Ops Cold War Zombies, the long-requested Super Easter Egg was finally added post-launch on April 25, 2021, as part of a surprise update, something that Black Ops 4 never delivered on. Once you’ve completed all main quests in the game and if you loaded up Outbreak and go to The Zoo region you will see a where a new Secret Location appears, containing four pedestals with glowing crystals.

Interacting with the crystals activates the Super Easter Egg rewards. The rewards scale depending on how many main quests you’ve completed (1 to 4). When you activate the Super Easter Egg, the rewards include: Free Epic Rarity Loadout Weapon Every Game, 12 Emblems, A Legendary Watch, and a Dark Ops Calling Card.

Potential Super Easter Egg Rewards in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Following the Black Ops Cold War Super Easter Egg, fans are already speculating (and hoping) for a bigger, more narrative-driven and gameplay-altering super Easter egg. Here are some potential rewards that Treyarch could realistically include, drawing from past games and community wishes:

Gameplay-Based Rewards:

Start with a Tier II or III Pack-a-Punched weapon, possibly one you choose. Option to select from previous wonder weapons you’ve unlocked. Select your starting perk or get a random free perk on spawn.

Maybe even allow 2 starting perks after completing all Easter eggs. Begin with a high amount of salvage or scrap for early crafting. Discounted armor upgrades or self-revives. Enhanced Field Upgrade effects for returning abilities (like Ring of Fire or Aether Shroud).

Exclusive variants only unlocked through super Easter egg completion. A tamed Hellhound or Mimic that fights for you once per match. Similar to the monkey bomb but permanent or on cooldown.

Cosmetics Rewards:

A calling card that could Representing all completed maps, like a stitched-together “timeline” of your journey. ‘Super Easter Egg’-themed blueprint for a fan-favorite weapon (e.g., Ray Gun, AK-47, or returning Wunderwaffe) Could include tracer rounds or dark matter effect. A potential Director Richtofen Skin is highly anticipated to be a cosmetic reward, even being voiced by the legendary Nolan North would be something the entire community would enjoy.

Narrative Rewards:

A bonus cutscene that hints at the next arc or teases a returning character (Richtofen, Samantha, etc.). A morally ambiguous ending or loop reset like in Tag der Toten. A hidden bonus level. A boss fight. Or a challenge map with endless waves and lore reveals.

What Will Treyarch Do For the Black Ops 6 Super Easter Egg?

The Infinite Warfare Zombies ‘Super Easter Egg’ is one of the most beloved and respected Zombies experiences to this day. The Mephistopheles boss fight is by far one of the craziest experiences ever in zombies history and players have wondered if IWZ’s ‘Super Easter Egg’ will ever get topped by future iterations of Zombies. It has been stated by Kevin Drew on a reply to a Lee Ross post on Twitter that, they’re definitely taking into consideration of the bar that was set by the team at Infinity Ward with Infinte Warfares Zombies ‘Super Easter Egg’.

Kevin Drew Replying to Lee Ross about Super Easter Egg Rewards in Zombies for their next game

It’s uncertain if Treyarch will be trying to set the bar high with ‘Super Easter Eggs’ in Black Ops 6 or with their next project slated to release later this year. However, realistically Treyarch’s primarily focus is on their next game so, it’s unlikely they will try to set the bar high with Black Ops 6 Zombies but highly possible they do it for their next game.

The End..
