After years, the infamous Call of Duty Warzone map Verdansk still brings up a topic of discussion subjecting its return to the franchise. When Call of Duty officially announced the return of Verdansk at Call of Duty Next to come to the current Warzone experience that’s tied to Black Ops 6, the community wondered which version would be coming back, and what modern features it would adopt that have been seen in the maps after it’s departure. “PER SOURCES” SAY
Well-known leaker TheGhostOfHope shared on Twitter that their sources stated Verdansk would return with a familiar look to the OG Variant. but with a few additions. The few additions that were noted are massive changes that could change the flow of OG Verdansk for the better such as: Stadium would be fully accessible with the roof being fully intact rather than destroyed, and the train system will be present on the map. Additionally. according to CharlieINTEL on Twitter, Verdansk has been played by content creators to submit feedback at least two different times. The map was reported to have similar map details as previously mentioned, so TheGhostOfHope’s claims seem to have a sense of validity as they often have had in the past.
To further add to these claims, the source also stated that Verdansk is scheduled to return with the release of Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, marking the second time within a year that a fan-favorite map released during Season 3 (Rebirth Island in MWIII released in Season 3 previously). It’s also rumored to release with a Resurgence option after Verdansk files were found in the Season 2 Reloaded update. Meaning, we could see Verdansk when Season 3 launches on March April 3rd.

FAN-FAVORITE OPERATORS AND WEAPONS
The map specific details weren’t the only notable additions/returning features coming with Verdansk. Various data-miners have found references in the files to returning weapons and operators that seem to be coming within the next big update (Season 3). The Grau Assault Rifle, along with the infamous Roze Operator seem to be aimed for a release alongside Verdansk. The Grau and HDR will more than likely be new rifles, but Roze is already in Warzone; it’s more than likely she’s a new Black Ops/Crimson One Operator, but would be cool to see her tied to her MWII counterpart.
Alongside the previous additions, CharlieINTEL reported that the AMAX and Kilo Assault Rifles from the original Warzone would be making a return, although take this rumor with a grain of salt.
