With the launch of Season 3 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone dropping about a week and a half ago, players are looking ahead to the launch of Season 4. The next season of content for BO6 & Warzone is set to drop at the end of May and could bring back fan-favorite weapons, operators, & even game-modes. Today, we’re going to go over all the content coming to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer & Zombies, as well as Warzone in Season 4. Here’s what you need to know:
Black Ops 6 Season 4 Release Date & Preload
According to the in-game timer, Season 4 of Black Ops 6 & Warzone should begin on May 29th. As with previous seasons, the update will likely go live at 9am PT, 11am CT, & 12pm ET. Preloads for the update will also usually go live 2-3 days before the release date for almost all platforms. These updates/preloads will be around 20-40GBs, as per usual, but they do vary. Last gen platforms however will not be receiving a preload due to the huge leaks occurring right before the launch of Black Ops 6.
Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4 Roadmap
The brand-new Roadmap for Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone has just been unveiled! New & original MP Maps, Grief Returns, New POI for Warzone, among many other new & returning featured for players to get their hands on.
Season 4 Blackcell Offering in Black Ops 6
Blackcell is back in Season 4 & offers a plethora of content including the brand new Operator, Omen. He is joined by a cast of cursed operators & his tri-headed guard dog, that you can earn through BlackCell. Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4 Global Content
This is content that will be universally available across all modes, including Warzone.
New Weapons Coming in Black Ops 6 Season 4
In the Black Ops 6 Season 3 Outro, fans spotted that ‘LC10’ and ‘FFAR’ from Black Ops Cold War on the table as the cinematic cutscene played. This means that these CLASSIC guns will be RETURNING in Season 4 as a part of the Battle Pass, which has yet to be fully revealed! Other weapons that have been revealed & CONFIRMED to be added in Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4 are the Essex Model 07, Olympia Shotgun, & the Pickaxe Melee Weapon. Let’s take a brief look at these weapons:
FFAR Assault Rifle – Launch
The FFAR is being added into BO6 through the Season 4 Battlepass. Impressive CQB power & intense fire rate will make this a formidable weapon to wield against your opponents. Grab this AR through the Batllepass on Page 6 or Page 11.
LC10 SMG – Launch
The LC10 SMG makes its’ way back into the Black Ops franchise. This SMG packs incredible range & accuracy, as well as a middle of the ground fire rate. However, it also brings slow handling rates & an average rate of mobility for the weapon. Be sure to snag this SMG through the Battlepass on Page 3 or Page 14.
Essex Model 07 – In Season
The Essex Model 07 has landed back into the hands of Call of Duty fans here in Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4. While slower in the handling & fire-rate departments, this lever action rifle packs a huge damage hit if you aim high enough. You’ll be able to earn the Essex through an event later in-season.
Pickaxe Melee – Mid Season
The Pickaxe, famously wielded by Sergei in the Black Ops 1 Campaign is headed into to the Black Ops 6 & Warzone weapons roster. This melee is a 1 hit kill, with a short attack range distance. So be sure to sneak up on your opponents to ensure you get the elimination. Earn this melee through an event during the Mid-Season.
Olympia Special Weapon – Mid Season
Looks like M14 fans will have to cope as the Olympia Special Weapon is making its’ way into Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4 after not being seen since Black Ops 3. This Shotgun packs a punch through intense damage & formidable range. The only drawback is having to constantly reload the weapon. You can earn this Special Weapon in the Mid-Season update through an Event.
New Special Weapon Attachments Coming in Black Ops 6 Season 4
These brand-new Special Weapon attachments are coming in Season 4 to enhance & accelerate your firepower. Here’s a short description of each attachment:
- Stryder .22 3-Round Burst Mod – Launch
- This attachment will convert the Stryder into a 3-round burst fire weapon. Snag this mod as an Event Reward.
- G-Grip – Launch
- The G-Grip will improve your accuracy through recoil control, improving stability, & tightening fire-spread. Grab this attachment through the Battle Pass on Page 7.
- TR2 CQB Auto Conversion – In Season
- This will alter the TR2 Marksman Rifle to a full auto weapon that could compare to SMGs. Ensure you grab this Conversion Kit during an event later in-season.
- SVD Full Auto Mod
- This Attachment will convert the SVD semi-auto Sniper into a fully automatic weapon. Earn this through an event later in-season.
New Operators Coming in Black Ops 6 Season 4
Stitch – Launch
Fan-favorite villain Stitch is set to return the Black Ops franchise in Season 4. How is this possible you may ask. The last time we saw Stitch was in the Black Ops: Cold War Season 6 Cutscene where he presumably was killed by Adler. However, the cinematic cutscenes for Season 3 & Season 4 confirm Adler locked Stitch up in a black site prison rather than kill him. This would ensure Stitch could be used later if need be, as an insurance policy of sorts.
Stitch will be headlining Season 4 alongside Adler with the recent key art that was revealed. As well as the operator skins in the Battle Pass that were unveiled to players through a recent blog post. Stitch will be in the instant unlock page, as well at the Tier 100/Completion Page of the Season 4 Battle Pass. He will also feature 2 BlackCell variation skins if you purchase BlackCell this season.
Omen – Launch
The new ‘Omen’ Operator can induce & enforce fear into anyone who stands in his way. Rivaling that of Brutus, he’d make for quite the prison guard. He will be joining the Operators roster through BlackCell this season alongside Stitch.
Eve Macarro [Ballerina] – In Season
We get our first official John Wick Crossover as Black Ops 6 x Ballerina is happening later in Season 4. Eve Macarro seeks vengeance on those who killed her father. As one learning under John Wick himself, she is one of the most dangerous individuals out there. Be on the lookout for her bundle in the shop later in Season 4.
Black Ops 6 Season 4 Multiplayer Content
Multiplayer Maps
In what will be essentially a 4-part series of maps, players will be introduced to 3 Brand-New Multiplayer Maps in Season 4, all available on Launch. The final brand-new map of this series will be available in the Mid-Season update. All of these maps play into the narrative of Season 4, which is Adler & his team breaking Stitch out of a top-secret Black Site Prison for a major operation.
Shutdown – Launch
The first step to breaking Stitch out, disabling the power to the prison itself. That’s where Adler & his team head off to here in ‘Shutdown‘. Battle it out in core 6v6 modes on the smaller sized map, based in a hydroelectric plant located in Iceland. Hot middle zone engagement always provides an opportunity to flank your enemies through the water.
Fugitive – Launch
With the power having been disabled, Adler & his team make their way to the Prison itself to free Stitch. In this Medium 6v6 Multiplayer map ‘Fugitive‘, you’ll engage with enemies on all cylinders as you fight through the prison across all core modes. Multiple floors, a fight pit, opened cells (ambush spots), & ziplines all await players in this new & detailed MP experience.
Blitz – Launch
The third of the series of maps comes in the form of ‘Blitz‘. Pantheon teams make their way to the Prison to siege Stitch, but are ambushed by Stitch himself, as well as Adler’s Team. Players will get to engage on either the main bridge itself using crashed vehicles for cover, or through the more “open” side lanes of the map. This new Strike experience will be available for 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
Eclipse – Mid Season
After escaping Adler, his team, & their new ‘ally’ Stitch, take cover at a nightclub to discuss plans going forward. What they weren’t counting on were Pantheon soldiers tracking them down for another fight. Take the dance floor in this new 6v6 or 2v2 MP Strike Experience during the Mid-Season update. Duck through secret halls, engage from the DJ Booth, or take shots at the bar as you battle against the opposing team.
For the first time ever, Fringe has been reimagined for Black Ops 6 & will be coming in the Mid-Season update. Fans will be excited to see the all-time favorite MP map return for the first time since Black Ops 3. Take the fight to enemies through either the Barn, Main Road, the bar, or even the loading route.
Scorestreaks
Grim Reaper – In Season
One major streak that hadn’t been seen since Black Ops 1 is the ‘Grim Reaper’. With the launch of Season 4, it will be joining the roster of Scorestreaks you can earn. This quad tube loaded Launcher will be a massive & destructive force to wield against your opponents. This will be available at a later date In-Season.
Back before the start of Season 3, ‘Specialist Streaks’ had leaked out. While this could be a potentially scrapped feature, or one being saved for BO7, it could come to Black Ops 6 within Season 4. Essentially these ‘Specialist Streaks’ would be similar to the system back in MW3 (2011) & Call of Duty: Ghosts, where instead of earning Killstreaks, you’d earn extra perks. This would leave you fully loaded with what you could call a ‘Specialist Perk Package’.
With the new trailer for Squid Game Season 3, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another crossover event that brings back the bundles as well as maybe Pentathlon towards the end of June when the season for the show does come out. We may also see the return of ‘Sticks & Stones’ to the Party Games playlist, which could also reintroduce the Ballistic Knife back into Black Ops 6’s MP.
Multiplayer Modes
A plethora of modes are coming to Black Ops 6 MP. Both new & returning modes will be made available both on Launch & In-Season for Multiplayer here in BO6. Let’s take a look at these modes:
One in the Chamber – Launch
Classic mode ‘One in the Chamber’ returns to the Black Ops Franchise. One Knife, One Pistol, One Bullet. As you earn eliminations, you’ll be given an extra bullet. Survive with the most eliminations to win. Good Luck.
Team Elimination – Launch
This mode provides a twist on the original Kill Confirmed Mode. Teams will now only be provided a limited number of lives. To win, you must survive longer or have more remaining lives than the enemy team. If your life pool has been drained, as a last resort, you can revive your teammates where they were slain.
Party Ops – Mid Season
This LTM will randomly cycle through party themed mini-games while in-game. Have the most score at the end, & you’ll be declared the victor.
Multiplayer Ranked Play – Launch Window
Show that you are the best of the best through this Season’s Ranked Play mode in Multiplayer. Win matches, move up the ranks, & earn exclusive rewards. Speaking of which, here are all the rewards you can earn in Ranked Play:
Camo Mixing & Camo Rewards
With the recent release of Blueprint mixing inside of Black Ops 6, there’s also the potential we see camo mixing finally come to a loadout near you. This stems from a placeholder image that surfaced quite a while back in BO6, along with a blog post & data-miners back during Modern Warfare’s lifecycle. The image implies you’d not only be able to mix & match blueprint attachments, but you could equip different camos to each individual attachment.
We could see Prestige Camos release for players to work towards, especially those who’ve already maxed out their Nebula, Abyss, & Dark Matter grinds. Considering we got our first camo reward through the ‘Blaze of Glory’ event, it’d be no shocker to see event camo rewards going forward in Season 4 to make up for the lackluster rewards from the first few BO6 seasons.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 4 Content
Grief RETURNS on Launch
Grief players get excited as after over a decade, GREIF finally RETURNS to Black Ops Zombies in BO6 Season 4. The long requested PVP mode is finally making a comeback to Zombies fans with the launch of the new season. This time with a twist, as players will need to complete objectives to compete against the enemy team. Ensure the other enemy team falls & you’ll be victorious.
With S.A.M & Richtofen as the leaders of each respective team, the two teams will battle over control & power, just as the two team leaders are in the main Zombies story. While you can’t directly eliminate enemy players, you can indirectly cause their demise through body-blocking, melee, firing your weapons at them, etc. Core features are present, with the restriction of certain Gobblegums & Wonder Weapons.
Janus Towers – Mid Season?
All current evidence from the usual sources on Twitter suggests that ‘Janus Towers’ will be the finale of Black Ops 6 Zombies or that there is another map coming. Nothing is certain for sure at the moment, but this could leave a major gap between its’ release & COD 2025 (BO7). While evidence also doesn’t point to the release of ‘Janus Towers’ being in Season 4, new evidence could surface after the launch of the season. Possibly suggesting we see the map release during the mid-season update (Season 4 Reloaded).
New LTMS & Challenges
Dark Ops Challenges – Launch
With the launch of Season 4, a new set of Dark Ops Challenges have been presented to players. Earn them through various means to earn Exclusive Calling Cards & XP. Greif may even contain a hidden Dark Ops Challenge.
Abomination Challenge LTM- Mid Season
Super bulked up Abominations await players in this LTM for the Mid-Season Update. Having multiple players may be smart for this one.
Starting Room LTM – Mid Season
One Room, 1-4 Players, survive as long as you can in what’s been inspired by the classic challenge players would take on throughout the history of the Zombies mode. No Raptor one to save you this time.
New Gameplay Features
Shatter Blast Ammo Mod – Launch
The Shatter Blast Ammo Mod returns in Season 4 of Black Ops 6 Zombies. This ammo mode will cause the armor of certain enemies to explode. Not only will this weaken the intended target but can also affect/damage enemies around it through a AOE Blast radius. You can also modify the ammo mod using the new augments:
- Major Augments
- Big Game
- Enables the Ammo Mod to be used against Elites.
- Blast Chain
- Three additional explosions can happen after the initial one.
- Blast Repair
- Any enemy armor that is destroyed will repair the player’s armor.
- Big Game
- Minor Augments
- Blast Zone
- Explosion size is increased.
- Blast Boost
- Damage of explosion is increased.
- Blast Wave
- Normal Enemies are knocked over by the explosion.
- Blast Zone
New GobbleGums – Launch
There will be new/returning GobbleGums added to the candy vault with the launch of Season 4. Be sure to add these to your next new GobbleGum loadouts, with the Gums being:
- Flavor Hex – Legendary
- Will activate a random Ultra GobbleGum.
- Rainburps – Whimsical
- Eliminated Zombies burp rainbow bubbles. This will last 3 minutes.
- Explosive Flourish – Epic
- Reloading your weapon will cause an explosion around you. This will last 2 minutes.
Grim Reaper – Mid Season
With the Mid-Season update, you’ll be able to craft the Grim Reaper streak, provided you earn it through an event. It will cost 2,000 salvage & will easily tear through the oncoming waves of the undead.
Warzone Season 4 Content
New POI [The Overlook]
The new ‘Overlook’ POI will be added in downtown Verdansk & has replaced the SKN Comm Tower, old tenement blocks, & Burger Town. This Massive POI will provide plenty of engagement opportunities both inside & outside of the Skyscraper. Let’s take a look at a quick overview of the new POI being added in Season 4 of Warzone:
- Ground Level: Perimeter Security Checkpoints
- Various security checkpoints surround the new POI, so passing through one will indicate you’re entering the new space.
- Ground Level: Construction Zones
- Plenty of remnants from the now nearly completed SkyScraper remain around the building itself. Be sure to take advantage of the cover opportunities during fights with opponents.
- Ground Level: Restaurants
- The OG Burger Town has only slightly moved down the way from the initial location. It now also contains an entry into the grand foyer of the building.
- A sushi bar has also been opened on the other side of the POI. It’s within close proximity of the North Crane or Main Entrance to the Building.
- Overlook: Entrance & Lobby
- Beautiful decor surrounds the staircases leading up to the entrances of the building. All four entrances however are shuttered & so players will need to find another way into the main interior lobby of the POI. Plenty of areas to investigate await players in the lobby including elevator ascenders to take you up.
- Overlook: Atrium & Skydeck
- Halfway through the building you’ll reach a five-floor area complete with stairwells & new elevator shafts. Once you’ve passed through the Atrium, make your way up to the Skydeck.
- Overlook: Penthouse & Roof
- At the very top of the Skyscraper, you’ll reach the coveted Penthouse. This is the high roller’s area complete with game rooms, kitchen, beautiful bedroom, & a security/server room. Just above that is the roof area. This area isn’t fully complete so players will have to watch their step.
- North & South Cranes
- Both the North & South Cranes are fully operational. They can be used to move around the tower, as well as the cargo on the hook block can be hoisted up & down.
- Ziplines
- Various Ziplines can be used to ascend or descend the tower & to the ground level buildings. They can be located at the following locations: Post Office Rooftop in the South, Rothwynn Donna Building Rooftop in the West, Art Gallery/Museum in the Northeast, & City Hall Dome Rooftop to the East.
New Modes & LTMs
Clash LTM – Launch
This massive LTM will consist of 52v52 gameplay where teams will either need to reach 500 score or have the most score at the end of 15 minutes. These battles will occur across a smaller version of the main Verdansk map which can include sub-areas like Quarry, Boneyard, Farmland, & Promenade [East]. A limited number of vehicles will be available as players garner points through eliminations, complete objectives, & complete contracts. There will also be in-match events that teams can take advantage of to gain the upper hand.
Havoc Royale LTM – Mid Season
The rules will be molded & bent in this Resurgence LTM of Call of Duty: Warzone. Players will fight in a designated area of Verdansk where with each circle close, a different Havoc modifier will become active. Learn quick as these modifiers will not only affect you, but the area around you as well as the rules of the game itself. Last team standing will be the winners. Hop into this LRM during the Mid-Season Update.
Resurgence Casual – Mid Season
This will be similar to the Battle Royale Casual mode we have in Warzone now. Only this time you’re dropping into Rebirth Island. Players can expect to fight squads of not only real players, but squads or individual bots as well. Stats aren’t tracked but will be great for camo grinding, & serves as a great introduction mode to players who perhaps haven’t tried Warzone before. It also is great for squads warming up before hopping into the all-competitive regular Resurgence.
Ranked Play: Battle Royale – Launch Window
Try & take your squad to the top of the mountain as you battle the very best in this Seasons Ranked Play for Warzone. Similar to regular Ranked Play, battle players, rank up, & earn rewards throughout the Ranked Season. Here are all the rewards you can earn in Ranked Play here in Season 4 of Warzone:
For Warzone players, Area 99 has been confirmed to return as a Resurgence experience. The map hasn’t been vaulted forever & will hopefully return with some much-needed Quality of Life improvements. Maybe even some Easter Eggs that provide rewards, or new POIs to freshen things up. It’s also been rumored that we’ll see a Verdansk Resurgence experience similar to Urzikstan last year, where parts of the larger BR map are broken up into smaller sections for Resurgence experiences.
Ranked Play: Resurgence – Mid Season
If you’re really looking for a challenge to get the blood pumping, jump into Ranked Play: Resurgence when it releases in the Mid-Season Update. The mode will run off the same rules it did back in Modern Warfare 3 (2023) will be trios, based on Rebirth Island.
Gameplay Features – Mid Season
After Clash has been out for a while, the Mid-Season Update will introduce new & additional features into other Warzone modes.
- Contract – Search & Destroy
- Field Upgrade – Door Barricade
- Killstreak – Hand Cannon
- Killstreak – Care Package
- New Perk – Lootmaster
- This perk will increase the loot rate while opening loot caches. It also will increase the drop rate for ammo, as well as increased chances at finding gear, streaks, cash, equipment, & field upgrades.
ATV: Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 – Launch
This new ATV will provide more stability than the current ATV. It also provides better suspension, traction, & clearance. You’ll be able to fit 3 operators on top of the Polaris, including the driver.
The Stadium is also meant to open up as well & we’ll likely see the old Quality of Life Verdansk updates sprinkled back into Black Ops 6’s Verdansk. Alongside this, the Bunkers will inevitably end up opening as well as a potential live event for COD 2025.
New Events in Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 4
Ballerina Event – In Season
The first John Wick crossover will not only bring a bundle for the Ballerina herself, but is also bringing an event. This event will run through June 5th through June 12th. It may be eliminations based & will span across all modes. There will be 10+ rewards including a BlackCell reward. These event rewards will include the Essex Model 07, Nunchuck Melee Blueprint themed around Ballerina for BlackCell owners, among other cosmetics.
Rivals Event – In Season
This event will run from June 12th to June 26th & ties into the narrative of the Season involving Stitch & Adler. The Rivals event is XP Based & will net you a chunk of rewards. There are up to 15+ rewards including a BlackCell reward. Plenty of cosmetic rewards can be earned, as well as the Stryker .22 3-Round Burst & Grim Reaper Scorestreak.
King of the Dead, Master of Grief Events – Mid Season
These events are both Leaderboard based. Earn points by either killing zombies or gathering essence. The more points you collect, the higher your team will climb on the Leaderboard. Once the event has ended, your rewards you earn will be based on your leaderboard position. The higher the points, the higher the reward tier will be. Special & Elite zombies will nab far more points.
The ‘King of the Dead’ event will run from June 26th to July 3rd. It will be based on eliminations to earn points.
The ‘Master of Grief’ event will span from July 10th to July 17th. It will be based on essence collecting the Grief mode.
