Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 begins on April 3rd, 2025 at 9am PT, 11am CT, and 12pm ET. There’s a TON of content planned to release with BO6 and Warzone Season 3. Most notably being the return on the Verdansk Warzone Map, New ‘Mansion’ Zombies Map, Double-Tap, and MORE! Today, we’re taking a deep dive into content coming to Black Ops 6 in Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies with Season 3, Lets get started:
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 Concept Roadmap

Black Ops 6 Season 3 Delay Explained
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 was previously set to release on March 20th, 2025. This was based on In-Game Battlepass Timers that are always accurate as to when the next Season will begin… unless there a delay. On March 3rd, Call of Duty officially revealed Black Ops 6 Season 3 will be delayed 2 Weeks, now launching on April 3rd, 2025. It was stated that they want to take the time to deliver a great experience, and not rush anything and potentially ruin the update for players. Season 3 appears to be a big moment for Activision, as new rum ours suggest if Verdansk doesn’t perform well, it could mean the end for Warzone support in future titles.
New Weapons Coming in Black Ops 6 Season 3
Following the references to returning Operators, a list of weapons was also found by leakers (@RealityUK). All are listed under codenames, so we can speculate what the weapons are. According to other rumors, there are several Modern Warfare 2019 weapons that were never brought back to the franchise. However, they could be added in with Season 3 of Black Ops 3. We could potentially see the HDR, the Kilo, the GRAU, & the Amax (all under codenames), all fan favorite Warzone 1 era Weapons added in BO6. How these are added can vary, be it the Battle Pass, Armory, or potentially be exclusive to OG Verdansk (though unlikely).

- Napa (Special)
- Keene (Melee)

New Operators Coming with Black Ops 6 Season 3
With Season 2 Reloaded, the following Operator Codenames were leaked by @HeyImAlaix on X. Stating that Hudson, Roze, Mace, and Domino would be returning with Black Ops 6 Season 3. Three of these Operators were from Modern Warfare 2019, so we can only infer that Season 3 will be focussed on nostagia for the Original Warzone with the return of Verdansk. Hudson is most likely coming as an Operator to tie the Season 3 Battlepass to Black Ops somehow, as the Weapons coming are also from 2019.
Black Ops 6 Season 3 Multiplayer Content
Specialist Scorestreaks
According to leaker (@HeyImAlaix) over on Twitter, a system close to ‘Specialist Scorestreaks’ could be coming to Black Ops 6 Season 3. It appears to be called ‘Perkstreaks’ where you earn perks instead of ‘Scorestreaks’. This system hasn’t been seen in many years, but may be making a comeback in Season 3. One way it could be added is through the Wild Card’ system.
Remastered Maps
With the now potentially scrapped Avalon Warzone map, there are several remastered Points of Interests that could be added into Multiplayer. Considering Season 3 is like a throwback update, it’s very possible we see these remastered maps come to fruition. The maps we know of so far include:
- Outskirts
- Dig
- Coliseum
- Yemen
- WMD
- Firing Range
- Hazard
All of these maps are present in the Avalon map, so we could see them brought in as individual maps in BO6 Multiplayer. Launch from BO1 (also brought back in BO4) has been rumored to come to BO6.
Multiplayer Modes Returning
It would not be too big a surprise to see Fireteam: Dirty Bomb &/or Ground War added into Black Ops 6. They could reuse spaces on those modes that may never get added into Warzone. This could be on top of other Party Modes they add. Modes like Sticks & Stones, Sharpshooter, & One in the Chamber. The usual Party Modes. There could also be some special modes added closer to 4/20.
Black Ops 6 Warzone Season 3 Content
Considering Season 2 was based on QOL (Quality of Life) updates, bug fixes, & Ricochet related updates, Season 3 could bring a massive anti-cheat buff.
Verdansk Release Date in Warzone
It’s no secret that Verdansk will make its big return in Warzone with Black Ops 6 Season 3. The map is set to receive a near 1-1 Original of its 2020 counterpart, but since a potential POI list was leaked (@HeyImAlaix), it shows some new locations coming to Verdansk…

In addition to this, it was also previously leaked that Verdansk would also be getting a ‘Resurgence’ Mode like the ones played on Rebirth Island or Area 99 where you can respawn infinitely until a certain point in the game if you survive your redeploy timer.
Floating Loot was also rumoured to return by Leaker @TheGhostOfHope on X. A staple of the Original Warzone where loot would float instead of lay on the ground, making it easier to sort through what a player dropped once eliminated. 150 Players should also be returning with Verdansk as Raven Software have confirmed on February 27th that they are testing 150 Player lobbies currently, something the Original Warzone in 2020 launched with.
Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 3 Content
Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 3 is set to feature the 3rd Zombies Map added since launch, the ‘Shattered Veil’ We know it will take place at the Mansion found outside Liberty Falls, where Richtofen was teleported into the Dark Aether in the intro cutscene.
Double-Tap Returning in Black Ops 6
Recently, the NEW Perk Icon for ‘Double-Tap’ was leaked on X, showing us that the perk is FINALLY set to return during Black Ops 6 Zombies. It is most likely coming with Season 3 as all 6 Augments were also found in the files, alongside the full perk can texture and logo. Usually when this much is in the files, it means it is releasing soon. Additionally, the Shatter Blast Ammo Mod and Frost Blast Field Upgrade should also be returning as all 6 augments were leaked for them as well.
New Gobblegums in Black Ops 6 Season 3
Theres a pretty long list of Gobblegums that could potentially release with Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 3, a list of them are as follows:
- Power Vacuum (BO3)
- Shopping Free (BO3)
- Head Drama (BO3)
- Ammo Chaos (New)
- Absolutely Over There (New)
- Support Group (New)
Usually, only 3 Gobblegums release with each Season. So we’re going to have to wait and see which ones they decide to add once the official blog post drops closer to April!
Wunderwaffe DG-2 Returning in Black Ops 6 Zombies
The Classic Wunderwaffe DG-2 is set to return in Black Ops 6 Zombies alongside the NEW Mansion Zombies Map. Considering this Wonder Weapon was present during the Liberty Falls Intro Cutscene, its almost guaranteed this makes its way into the map. The Ray Gun Mark 2 has also been leaked for a little while now, it is unknown if it will be available on DLC 3 Mansion as well.
