Black Ops 6 is exciting the community more than ever, and as we get closer to release, people wonder what the future of Warzone will look like. BO6 is planned to overhaul Warzone once again with new movement, weapons, and more. Today, we go over what’s rumored to be coming to Warzone during the Black Ops 6 integration! Here’s what you need to know:
MOVEMENT OVERHAUL
Just as MW3 overhauled the movement of Warzone; BO6 is aiming to overhaul Warzone with it’s own movement system. Black Ops 6 introduces a new system called Omnimovement where you can sprint, dive, and slide in ANY direction. This change is present for the entirety of Black Ops 6 and will migrate over to Warzone during Season 1 of BO6. However, that doesn’t appear to be everything changing. BobNetworkUK on X/Twitter has claimed that Unlimited Tac Sprint will be added as a perk during the Season 1 integration.

Unlimited Tac Sprint is already available (at the time of writing) in Urzikstan through a bunker unlock, but this would make it much easier to obtain if added.
LOADOUT CHANGES
Once again BobNetworkUK has claimed another addition coming to Warzone’s Black Ops 6 integration; wildcards are returning.

For those of you that don’t know what a wildcard is, they were last seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and add extra compromises to what you can add to your loadout. You can activate additional attachment slots for a primary, have more perks, and much more thanks to the wildcard system. If rumors are true, then the wildcard system could change the way Warzone is played by adding more flexibility to loadouts and giving Loadout Drops even more of a valuable ticket.

On top of wildcards, another change coming is the gunsmith for Black Ops 6 weapons! Along with still being able to access MW2 and MW3 weapons (as well as the Firing Range), you will have access to the Black Ops 6 arsenal once the integration is added to Warzone. However, Black Ops 6 gunsmith will work a little differently than before.
- Weapons share optics when unlocked
- Other attachments (grips, stocks, etc) will not be shared with each weapon
- 5 attachments per weapon, but can have 8 if a wildcard is equipped
The days of having to scroll past 20 different grips before you find the one you want are over; weapons having their own attachment unlocks will definitely cure some headaches.
BACKPACK CHANGE
Huge news when it comes to inventory management in Warzone; BobNetworkUK claims that the OG Warzone Inventory System is returning in the Black Ops 6 integration!

The current backpack system has been in place since the new iteration of Warzone launched in 2022 with Al Mazrah, and has seen a few positive changes since it’s inception. However, it seems Treyarch and Raven aim to change it back to the original inventory system that was seen in the original iteration of Warzone.

Will this mean floating loot also will be returning? So far… it’s not been discussed, but it could be a future possibility.
