With the release of Season 6 & The Haunting in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone, a new collection-styled event is coming to the field. Players this time around will need to collect tapes in order to redeem rewards in this new BO6 event titled ‘Tapes of Terror’! These tapes can be collected in various means for multiple rewards, all unique in their own way from small cosmetics to operator skins & a camo. Join us as we take a look at the ‘Tapes of Terror’ event as well as all rewards you can earn in Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 6. Here’s what you need to know:
The ‘Tapes of Terror’ Event in Black Ops 6 Season 6
‘Tapes of Terror’ will be able to be completed across all game modes in BO6, including Multiplayer, Zombies, & Warzone. Players have the choice of any mode they’d like to play to collect tapes from. ‘Tapes of Terror’ will begin on October 23rd & will end on November 14th. This gives players ample time to collect enough tapes for every reward available. As you collect these tapes, you’ll be able to redeem them in the event tab to earn different rewards.
All ‘Tapes of Terror’ Rewards in Black Ops 6 Season 6
Within this event lay 8 different Rewards & 1 Mastery Reward for players to claim. As stated earlier, all of these rewards will be able to be claimed once you’ve collected enough tapes. The tape value of each reward will be concurrent to their use for players. For example, Double XP Tokens run for 5 tapes, while an Operator Skin runs for 60 tapes. We’re going to take a look at all 8 rewards available, as well as the Mastery Reward, & the amount of tapes you’ll need to claim them:

- 30 Tapes
- Scavvy – Alvarez Operator Skin
- 60 Tapes
Mastery Reward – New Zombies Reel Event Camo
Anyone who collects all of the other rewards from this event will be able to earn the Mastery Reward of the ‘Zombies Reel’ Animated Event Camo! One of many event camos coming in Season 6 of Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 6, the ‘Zombies Reel’ camo harkens back to the animated camo from BO4, the ‘Death Reel’ camo. It will cycle through various enemies from the BO6 Zombies map cycle, all in black & white like old film reels.
For BlackCell owners, you’ll gain access to a special variant of the camo, the ‘Zombies Reel BlackCell’ variant. This variant of the weapon will turn the base of the gun gold, while the animated parts of the gun will gain color as opposed to the black & white of the original version.
