All Modern Warfare 3 Bonus Content, Promo Rewards & Free Unlocks

Just as we’ve seen with several previous Call of Duty installments, Modern Warfare 3 is partnering with various retailers and chains for limited time promotions. Players can get their hands on in game rewards for MW3 by purchasing select products from Little Caesars, Monster, Walmart, Gamestop and more. These new, exlusive MWIII rewards will become available on November 10th, 2023.

Modern Warfare 3 Lockpick Operator Pick

MW3 Early Access Pre Order Benefits

Modern Warfare III is available in two offerings, the standard cross gen bundle or the vault edition. Any pre order of MW3 gave players early access to the open beta, zombie ghost skin, soul harvester blueprint and the soap operator pack. Digital pre orders will give players the ability to the early access campaign. The vault edition will grant players with the nemesis operator pack, the season 1 blackcell bundle and two weapon vault skins.

MW3 Vault Edition Rewards

Playstation exclusive pre orders will give players access to the lockwood operator, who’ll likely receive combat pack skins that release early on PS Plus each season, as we saw with Oni last year. The lockwood skin will only be exclusive to Playstation for one full year, while MWIII will mark the end of the Sony and Activision exclusivity deal.

MW3 Store & Restaurant Exclusive Rewards

Last year, Modern Warfare 2 partnered with what felt like the largest amount of retailers and chains that offered fans a grand amount of in game bonuses. Thus far, MW3 isn’t partnering with nearly as many brands as last year, but there still are a fair amount of cosmetics players can unlock by purchasing MWIII themed promotions.

Fans had to go as far as buy specific pizzas, beverages from gas stations, beef jerky and cheese burgers to get various rewards inside of Modern Warfare II. It’s likely that additional promotions for MWIII will be announced closer to launch, and even during the pre season window before the end of the year. Here are all the Modern Warfare 3 promotions that have been revealed thus far:

Kontrol Freek

The last few Call of Duty launches have brought forth a new set of Kontrol Freek thumbsticks which were themed around the new release. As of October 25th, the Modern Warfare 3 themed thumbsticks have yet to be unveiled or made available for pre purchase, but a preview for them was revealed by Walmart.

MW3 Kontrol Freek Thumbsticks

Last year, MWII themed Kontrol Freeks released which had a Task Force 141 design, while Walmart re released the blue Warzone thumbsticks and made them green to fit the theme of the new Call of Duty. With MW3, Walmart is releasing a $70 bundle of the game that comes with the standard edition, and thumbsticks themed around the new vault edition icon. It’s unclear if these Kontrol Freeks will be sold separately.

Physical Collectors Box (Walmart Exclusive)

If the MWIII Kontrol Freek bundle wasn’t cool enough, Walmart is also selling a physical collectors box for $130 which is the closest we’ll get to a traditional collectors edition for a new Call of Duty. This new collectors box comes with a standard copy of MW3, a wall plaque, metallic poster, 8 collectors pins, and 4 lithographs.

Physical Steelbook Edition (Gamestop Exclusive)

At COD NEXT, I was surprised to receive a physical steelbook case for Modern Warfare 3. Gamestop recently confirmed that the same steelbook will be a $70 edition that’s only available in store. While the Steelbook case is only being sold for a limited time, remember that physical pre orders will not grant players early access to the MW3 campaign.

Gamestop exclusive pre orders will also grant players with a free Call of Duty endowment pack featuring a calling card, emblem and a sticker.

Little Caesars

COD NEXT was confirmed to have been sponsored by Little Caesars, which was also a promotion that ran for MW2 last year. This time around, the Little Caesars promotion officially begins on November 1st, which will grant players access to Dual 2XP tokens and even an operator skin for your second qualifying purchase. It’s likely that we’ll have to upload pictures of our Little Caesars receipt to their website as we did last year, to unlock the bonus cosmetics.

MW3 Little Caesars Operator Skin

It appears that Little Caesars employees have begun leaking out images of the upcoming promotion, as a tweet and reddit thread were discovered, which showcase the exclusive operator skin for Modern Warfare III. It was also confirmed that other unannounced rewards will be released as part of this promotion.

Monster

Call of Duty has partnered with Monster Energy in the past, and attendees at COD NEXT also received free cans which have just begun hitting shelves around the country. Monster was ironically the reason why the title and logo for MW3 initially leaked, as a store employee posted early images of the billboard which was set to kickstart the promotion.

MW3 Monster Energy Rewards

By uploading receipts with proof of ANY monster can purchase, players can unlock an exclusive operator skin, weapon blueprint, dual 2XP tokens and more rewards which have yet to be announced. The MW3 Monster promotion is set to last until March 2024.

Hyper X

We saw a collaboration between Hyper X gaming equipment and Call of Duty last year, which granted players an exclusive weapon decal, a calling card and an emblem. It’s been confirmed that Hyper X is doing another partnership for Modern Warfare 3 this fall, but the in game cosmetics have yet to be revealed as part of the promotion. Hyper X products were also used at the COD NEXT event, further confirming an ongoing partnership.
