Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to release worldwide on November 14th, 2025. With the release only a few months away, information surrounding the various editions of the game have surfaced. We’ll see all three editions of Black Ops 7 release, all with different rewards based on which version you purchase. Today, we’re going to go over each edition of BO7, as well as all the rewards & bonuses you can earn by preordering. Here’s all you need to know:

Standard Edition & Rewards

The Standard Edition of Black Ops 7 will cost $69.99. The standard edition will come in physical & digital forms for all three platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, & PC). Following similar to Black Ops 6, the digital standard edition also will serve as a cross-gen edition for older consoles, provided they receive support for BO7. You’ll receive all modes for BO7 & eventual Warzone integration with this edition.

As for the bonuses you receive for preordering the Standard Edition, you’ll unlock early access to the Black Ops 7 closed beta. This will give you an entire weekend of the beta to try things out & find a groove, before the beta is opened the following weekend for all players.

Reznov Operator Bonus

You’ll also receive access to the bonus Reznov operator, including two extra skins you’ll be able to unlock by completing challenges. This runs similar to the Woods operator & challenges from MW3/BO6 last year. You’ll be able to use Reznov in Black Ops 6 & Warzone, as well as Black Ops 7 when it releases.

The Vault Edition of Black Ops 7 will cost $99.99 & will only be available in digital form, as opposed to the digital & physical of the Standard Edition. As for which platforms you’ll be able to use preorder the Vault Edition on, it will be available through PC, PlayStation, Xbox. You’ll receive access to all modes in BO7 with this edition, including integration to Warzone.

Vault Edition Operators

You’ll also receive four Vault exclusive operators. These operators are returning fan-favorite characters from Black Ops franchise history, including characters from BO2 & BO3. All will be available on launch. These characters include:

  • Harper ‘Warranty Breaker’ — All-time classic character from the Black Ops 2 campaign.
  • Karma ‘Tech Guardian’ — Popular side character in the Black Ops 2 Campaign. Canonically, she died in BO2, so it’s a surprise to see her.
  • Reaper EWR-3 ‘Mind & Metal’ — A super popular operator from Black Ops 3 Multiplayer. His scythe machine-gun arm would tear the competition apart.
  • T.E.D.D. ‘Aether Assembly’ & ‘Service Supreme’ — The classic character from Black Ops 2’s zombie map Tranzit receives a facelift in the BO7 Vault Edition. Alongside this, players will also be able to rock a more classic looking style skin for T.E.D.D.

Which Edition Should You Buy?

The question is now posed of, which edition should you buy? If you are a casual Call of Duty player, not one who plays for cosmetics, or extra & unlock-able content, the standard edition of the game may be more your style. A cheaper price point, access to all modes, & still getting access to the beta.

As for more hardcore players, completionists, & those who play for extra content, the Vault Edition is better suited for you. For an extra $30, you’ll receive extra operators & Mastercrafts to use in-game, as well as BlackCell for Season 1, & various other in-game consumables. The Vault Edition serves as the ultimate experience for Call of Duty players.
