All Black Ops 6 Zombies x TMNT ‘Cowabunga Cranked’ Exclusive Rewards | Season 2 Reloaded

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded launches on the 20th of February, & with it comes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Crossover! The crossover is bringing back the fan favorite mode “Cranked”. Having not been seen in Zombies since Black Ops: Cold War, BO6 resurrects the heart-racing mode to players. Today, we’re going over the returning mode, as well as its new alterations that’ll set it apart from its’ previous iterations. Here’s what you need to know:

Cranked is Back!

The popular mode “Cranked” returns to zombies, but with a special twist involving the TMNT crossover. Now going as “Cowabunga Cranked”, it functions very similarly to the original mode, just with a few new additions. As you get higher in the rounds, the timer between kills will become smaller & smaller, meaning you have to bring the fight to them to stay alive. Luckily, this iteration of the mode comes with some helpful power-ups to help minimize the chance that you’re obliterated. Let’s take a look at these helpful tools:

Abilities & Power-Ups

  • The Pizza Box
    • This will refill the Cranked Timer back to its’ maximum.
  • Turtle Power!
    • Most certainly an aid as it provides the player who grabbed it temporary Max Pack-A-Punch & Legendary Melee Weapons. It also provides a temporary health bonus for the player.
  • Slice-O-Pie
    • While the Pizza Box provides a maximum refill on the Cranked timer, it only makes sense a slice of the pizza only adds a partial refill for the Cranked timer.
Ninja Turtle Operators battle the Undead within The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Keep the kills coming as you & your squad try to keep the Cranked Timer Full!

To add to these power-ups, all players in the mode will be granted access to Donny’s Time Stopper! A NEW & exclusive Field Upgrade that will pause the Cranked Timer for a FULL Minute. An entire 60 Seconds to recuperate after the battle.

If you choose to head into the mode as one of the Ninja Turtles, you’ll gain an advantage against the horde. The Turtles shells repel damage by 50% when attacked from behind. Splinter has his own special assist as he has a higher chance of the Slice-O-Pie drops spawning in from slain enemies.

Main Quests Enabled & Rewards

Cowabunga Cranked also holds one more surprise for hardcore players. The Main Quest on each map (Terminus, Liberty Falls, Citadelle Des Morts, & The Tomb) will be enabled. This means while playing Cowabunga Cranked, you &/or your squad can challenge yourselves to complete the Main Quest of the map. As difficult as it could be, it does have a reward for those willing to test their strength.

The Ninja Turtles look out over Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Try your luck at completing the Main Quest on each map to earn an EXCLUSIVE Calling Card!

If you’re able to complete the Main Quest while in Cowabunga Cranked, you’ll earn a TMNT themed version of the Main Quest Completion Calling Card. This would bring the total of Main Quest Completion Calling Cards up to 3 per map (Completion, Early Completion, Cowabunga Cranked Completion). Are you willing to test your resolve against the undead & a timer just itching to hit zero? However, you must act fast as once the mode leaves on March 13th, so does your ability to earn the exclusive calling card.

Each Calling Card Rewards features a Turtle Shell on the already existing Main Quest Completion Calling Cards:

CRANKED STRATS

FULL POWERS ARE KEY – Utilize free full power easter egg in every map, augments for charging field upgrade faster, and gobblegums: arsenal accelerator and full power. Your field upgrade is a free panic button if you are about to run out of time, and should be saved unless preventing your death. There are lull times in quests and bossfights where zombie spawning gets temporarily disabled, be sure and be prepared for these by consistently having your field upgrade ready.

SAVE ZOMBIES AND POWERUPS. STAGGER THEM AND CALL OUT. – Share zombies with teammates to ensure everyone keeps high counters. Pizza powerups work for everyone, so let them burn as long as you can before picking them up to maximize efficiency – especially in situations with small amounts of zombies.

SPEEDRUN QUEST STEPS ASAP. HIGHER ROUND IS LOWER TIME. – The lower the round when you fight the boss, the better. However, with no ability to hold a zombie in Cranked, you need to simply get to the quest as quickly as possible.

WONDERBAR QUEST SKIP – have as many people on your team as possible running Wunderbar. Boxes are at every location and any map besides Citadelle can have huge chunks of the quest skipped if someone manages to pull the wonder weapon. If someone gets it, skip crafting it altogether and continue with the quest like youd just built it.

TIMES ARE DIFFERENT PER MAP. – The timescales change per round, with the cranked timer balanced to get faster at different rates per map. This means while liberty may have the easiest easter egg, the timer gets shorter far faster than the other maps.

MAP SPECIFIC TIPS –

LIBERTY – Use mutant injection, insta kill gobblegums, or other high damage items you can bring into the boss fight for as many of the HVTs in the church as possible. Ending Abomination is most important, you should have at least one injection for him and if you get extras use them on earlier manglers. Grenade the head on the church for free killstreaks just before going into the boss for maximum luck. You can use the Jetgun building room zombies that spawn when you open the door as a one time save as well.

TERMINUS – Have solving website for the beamsmasher ready and input as quickly as possible. Pause is currently bugged, so you cannot pause to solve it instead. When doing the buoy step be sure to leave parasites alive and only kill them when you need to reset timer.

CITADELLE – Save Zombies in the boss as much as possible, the lull between damage phases while the arena transforms can very easily get you killed with a lack of spawns. The quest is also locked to later rounds than other quests because of having to wait for the stamps, both of these factors making this one seemingly the toughest of the four.

TOMB – Death Perception helps to spot where zombies are spawning as soon as they appear, which can make all the difference for staying alive fighting the artifact.
