New patch notes have been revealed for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2. The Black Ops 6 Season 2 patch notes have changed the weapon meta and incorporated highly requested features like challenge tracking, AFK loadout recovery & the ability to disable ranked crossplay. Here’s everything revealed with the Black OPs 6 & Warzone Season 2 patch notes:
GENERAL UPDATES
- Challenge Tracker – Players can view 10 manually tracked challenges or 10 near completion challenges.
- The ability to separate HUD preset settings for Multiplayer and Zombies.
- New reduction to player collision between teammates to improve maneuverability around maps.
- Players can equip any unlocked Special Camos to weapons as soon as they’ve unlocked any 5 Military Camos for that specific weapon.
- Challenge progress bars appear below Special and Mastery Camo switches on the Camo tab in Gunsmith.
- Added a “Favorites Only” Filter to the Friends List which can be used to display Favorite Friends.
- “Sort by Progression” and “Sort by Rank” will now display applicable level or rank icons in the Friends List, regardless of which mode the player is viewing from.
MULTIPLAYER
- Players now earn progress for Camo Challenges that require destroying streaks even if they do not obtain the destroying final blow
- Spawn logic has been adjusted to continue efforts with reducing proximity to enemies when respawning.
- Added live A/B testing with spawn changes to evaluate on a smaller scale.
- Added new weapon stats & refactored the layout to be data-driven.
- Training Course entry point has been moved from the playlist selection to the top right navigation panel.
- Reduced kill requirements for daily challenges
- Updated weapon balancing pass.
- Bullet penetration improvements.
- Additional reduction of weapon motion when jumping, diving and sliding with the Dexterity Perk.
- Improvements to player visibility in Kill Confirmed by reducing the dog tag height.
- Simplifying and expanding requirements for various Prestige Calling Cards.
- Closer to Season 2 Reloaded, an icon over enemies heads will be added if you shoot them while they have War Cry active. This indicates that player has faster health regeneration.
- Upcoming playlist changes:
- Expansion to Featured Playlist slots
- Adding Gunfight back to Featured Playlists
- Ensuring Stakeout 24/7 remains in Featured Playlists and or Quick Play
- Small Maps Moshpit playlist shortly after the season 2 launch.
- High-profile bug fixes:
- Gearhead will now properly increases the charge rate of Field Upgrades
- Free for All will now accurately calculate the scoreboard by kills while the Winner’s Circle will showcase the Top 3 players
- Ninja will no longer reset between respawns or round transitions in various game modes
- Fixes and tuning for numerous Calling Card Challenges
RANKED PLAY
- Players can disable crossplay on console, later in season.
- The Vote to Forfeit feature is releasing at launch. This allows people to vote with their team to end a match early if they’re getting blown out, or if teammate were lost. Forfeited matches will count as a standard loss and do not result in SR penalties.
- Later in Season 2, the ability to rejoin Ranked Play matches is also planned for later in Season 02, which should help to ensure fuller teams in matches if players experience a disconnect.
ZOMBIES
- Co-op Pause: So long as everyone is in the same party, the host will be able to pause the game, as seen in Black Ops 4 & Cold War.
- AFK kick loadout recovery: If a player is kicked for going AFK (in a co-op game), they’ll be able to return to their loadout, Salavage and Essence restored.
