Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 is coming soon, and Xbox have accidentally thrown up a reveal trailer earlier than expected. This trailer for Black Ops 6 Season 2 showed off new operator skins for the Zombies Crew characters, MP operators, new maps, new special zombies, and gameplay of a fan favorite wonder weapon returning! Ready to learn more about the newest BO6 Season 2 trailer? Here’s what you need to know:
ACCIDENTAL TRAILER
Early in the morning (at least… in America) on January 22nd, 2025, Xbox Taiwan released a gameplay promotional trailer for Black Ops 6 Season 2. In this trailer, we gout our first look at the new operator, the new MP maps, and our first look at the new Zombies round based map “The Tomb”.
MP CONTENT
The trailer gave players their first look at the content coming to Multiplayer in Season 2:
- MP MAPS
- Bounty (Launch)
- Dealership (Launch)
- Lifeline (Launch)
- Bullet (Mid-Season)
- Grind (Mid-Season)
Lifeline got a feature, and it looks like a smaller “Hijacked” from Black Ops 2!
Along with the maps, there will be new weapons such as the PPSH and the FN FAL making a return and possibly a Katana melee weapon (that appears to be dual wieldable in the trailer).
ICE STAFF OFFICIALLY RETURNING
You read that right, the Ice Staff from the iconic “Origins” is making it’s return in “The Tomb”!
Treyarch have stated this as, “…a reimagined Wonder Weapon inspired by our past.” Meaning the Ice Staff will have new additions in it’s combat; possibly new upgrades or abilities! From the look of the small gameplay we got, the Ice Staff has a similar animation for an ability similar to the Staff of Ra from Black Ops 4.
MORE MINI BOSSES
Black Ops 6 is infamous for it’s mini bosses. At launch, higher rounds were full of nothing but Manglers, and the Amalgam terrorized players with each appearance. Unfortunately for those that didn’t want Amalgam’s on “The Tomb”; the trailer shows multiple shots of the Amalgam roaming the map. There is a returning boss type, The Mimic! (Hopefully they removed the grapple)
The Doppleghast will make an appearance as well. It seems Treyarch is keeping to the “experiment” bosses that formed from the storyline in “Terminus”, but don’t rule out a Mangler appearance.
NEW ZOMBIE LOOKS
Keeping in trend with the previous three zombies maps, “The Tomb” features Zombies remodeled with new apparel that matches ancient cultures.
For those that love the immersion, this is for you. There’s a lot of details on the Zombies model’s from the looks of it. Whoever is making these models is crushing it. I wonder if the Knight Armor Zombie has any significance? Maybe the new look for the Armored Zombies, or similar to the Knight Helmet Zombies from “Citadelle Des Morts”?
OUTRO CINEMATIC
We also were given an outro cinematic for Season 2. “Bounty’s good. The hunt begins.”
