All Astra Malorum Side Easter Eggs and Rewards in Black Ops 7 Zombies Season 1

The first DLC map of Black Ops 7 Zombies has arrived in the form of Astra Malorum! Who would’ve known we’d get a map that takes place on a floating skull in space! Astra Malorum holds many secrets, hidden details, & plenty of Side Easter Eggs. All of this on top of the brand-new Main Quest available, there’s no shortage of things to do or discover in Black Ops 7 Zombies Season 1. Today, we’re going to go over all the Side Easter Eggs available in Astra Malorum! Here’s what’s you need to know:

ALL SIDE EASTER EGGS

Music Easter Egg

Players will need to interact with three Mr Peek headphones around the map. These can be found in the following locations:

  • In a display case to the left of a wall-buy in the Machina Astralis.
  • On a bottom shelf right to the left of the exit for the Luminarium.
  • The final one can be located on Mars. If you’re looking from the main structure, it will be to the left & in a right side corner.

This will trigger the song ‘Magic’ to play by Avenged Sevenfold.

Second Music Easter Egg

An instrumental version of Pareidolia will play if you stare at this statue for a bit. It’s located on Mars.

Third Music Easter Egg

A remix version of Pareidolia will play if you use the jump into space located at the Abyssal Rim, back to spawn.

Floating In Space/Ol’ Tessie DG2 Uograde

If you head out to the Abyssal Rim & throw a Semtex at a specific rock, you’ll be able to activate a wall-run to a floating travel back to spawn. This gives a chance to explore the beautiful scenery, as well as grab the DG2 Upgrade for Ol’ Tessie. The rocket launched in Ashes of the Damned can also be spotted, every 20mins or so to the left of the jump spot.

As stated before, this will also trigger a remix of Pareidolia to play.

Jumpscare Easter Egg

If you use the telescope & scroll around the vast area of space, you can come across a tiny skull. If you focus on this skull, you’ll trigger a jumpscare.

Friendly Ravager

To get a friendly Ravager, you’ll need a trinket. These can be acquired by killing the new O.S.C.A.R. Enemy. The Ravager can be located by using the Tac-Map & locating a small white dot, out of bounds.

You’ll need to throw this trinket to the Ravager once per round, for three rounds in a row. He’ll eat the trinket & run away. On the third round, it’ll jump into the map & become the friendly Ravager to assist you.

Nikolai Goat Toy

In a narrative driven Easter egg like Dempseys in Ashes of the Damned, a similar one exists for Nikolai in Astra Malorum. You’ll need 3 Molotovs to throw at 3 dirt piles near one another in the Abyssal Rim. These are the three locations of the dirt piles:

  • To the right of the ammo case, underneath a light pole.
  • Following the fire footprints, the next will be at the base of the stairs headed up.
  • The final pile will be at the top of the stairs.

Once you’ve thrown the Molotovs at the dirt piles, the footprints will lead you to a small toy goat on a rock. Interact with it to begin the Easter Egg.

Once you’ve reached the end of the Easter Egg, you’ll be treated to some legendary tier loot, similar to the Dempsey Easter Egg.

Ghost Twins

The ghost twins make a reappearance on Astra Malorum. To trigger them, on a Ravager Round, you’ll need to interact with this dual display case within the Museum. It will play a ghostly sound cue once done.

After doing this, on the next round, you’ll need to interact with another random display case within the museum till it plays the ghostly sound cue. This can’t be failed, so you can interact with every case till you get the right one. Repeat this for 2 more consecutive rounds, & the twins will spawn in random locations around the map.

The first time you interact with the twins, they’ll drop the Cryofreeze ammo mod. As you find them later on, they’ll drop other valuable loot to aid you in your game.

Insta-Kill Wisps

Players can collect wisps that will eviscerate zombies from existence. To do this, you’ll need to locate a wall-mounted lamp with a glow different from the others. It looks like this:

You’ll need to aim at this lamp containing a wisp within it. The wisp will transfer & rotate around the player. You then need to locate the other 9 lamps that are not lit up. Once you’ve located one, aim down sights at it & melee. This will transfer the wisp to it. After doing this, aim at the lamp again to reclaim the wisp.

For any lamp you’ve done this for already, some of the wisps essence will remain in the lamp. Once this is done correctly, the lamps will turn to a darker yellow shade. You can then collect all 9 wisps to surround you, & then fire them at zombies by aiming down sights & hitting melee. The wisps will respawn over time in the lamps to reclaim & use.

Here are some of the lantern locations:

Free Gramophone Perks

The gramophones on the map will not only play some classic zombies tracks, but also provide free perks to players. Once players collect records, they can place them into the gramophone to activate a bit of a soul box. Each gramophone will require souls to be collected differently, with about 15-20 zombies needed to charge it.

You must complete this charge before the music ends, or you’ll have to try again on the next round. Completion will guarantee a free perk, as well as other valuable loot. Here are the different record & gramophone locations, as well as the methods needed to charge them:

  • Location #1 – Museum Infinitum
    • The record can be located on top of a beam to the left of the workbench.
    • The gramophone can be located directly in front of Speed Cola.
      • You’ll need to get melee kills to charge the gramophone.
  • Location #2 – Machina Astralis/Archive of Orbis
    • The record can be located in a basket on a desk. This is the left corner of the room, underneath a wall-buy, & to the left of an exit door.
    • The gramophone can be located in the Archive of Orbis, directly ahead of Stamina Up on a table.
      • You’ll need to get equipment kills to charge the gramophone.
  • Location #3 – The Luminarium
    • The record can be located in a dark corner, next to a grandfather clock. It will be to the left of a wall-buy.
    • The gramophone can be located between two couches in The Luminarium.
      • You’ll need Field Upgrade kills to charge the gramophone.

These can be repeated, however, you’ll only obtain high tier loot, as opposed to free perks. The free perks can only be obtained once.

Glowing Skull Free Perk

There’s a second free perk you can obtain through a side Easter egg. This will require you to shoot at 5 skulls around the map with a Pack-a-Punched weapon, till they glow purple. Then pick them up. Here are the 5 locations:

  • Skull #1 – In a display case located in the Museum Infinitum.
  • Skull #2 – On a walkway between some brick headed towards Mule Kick in The Veilwalk.
  • Skull #3 – The skull can be located to the left of an ammo cache in a dark corner, outside in the Stargazers Courtyard.
  • Skull #4 – Right outside of spawn when you walk past the Gobblegum machine. It will be on the pathway headed to the Luminarium, in a corner to the left.
  • Skull #5 – In a display case, to the left of an ammo cache in the Machina Astralis.

You’ll then want to head a few feet away to a table, located in the same room. It’s to the right of Stamina Up, & you’ll need to place the skulls individually in a certain order. Place them in the order 4,3,2,1,5.

The skulls will then lift up in a certain order you need to memorize in a a game of Simon Says. Shoot the skulls in the order they raise up to claim your free perk reward.

Free Power Ups

  • Max Ammo – On a ledge out of bounds to the left of the Arsenal Machine, located in the Luminarium.
  • Full Power – In the Observatory Dome, above the Pack-A-Punch.
  • Max Armor – On a rock to the left of the turret trap, located in the Stargazers Courtyard.
  • Insta Kill – On a pole, just outside the Museum to the right. Visible from Scholars Way.
  • Double Points – Within the bottom of a cabinet in the Machina Astralis. It will be to the right of a wall-buy.
  • Bonus Points – On a rock, located in the spawn room/Crash Site. It will be to the left of where you spawn in at.
  • Nuke – On top of the Archive Building, visible from The Veilwalk.
  • Firesale – Once all others have been found in your game, you’ll be able to spawn in the fire sale. This will be located in a barrier, to the left once you enter the Museum Infinitum.
