ALL 55+ BLACK OPS 6 WEAPONS REVEALED | Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release worldwide on October 25th, 2024. There’s been a plethora of news & hype surrounding Treyarch’s latest entry in the Black Ops Francise. One of the things that resonate with a Call of Duty player base is the weapon selection in Black Ops 6. The Black Ops series over the years has had a slew of recognizable & iconic weapons to use in Campaign, Multiplayer, & Zombies, and Black Ops 6 is no different. Today, we’re going to go over every weapon that’s reportedly going to be included in Call of Duty Black Ops 6. Let’s dive right in shall we?

VAULT EDITION MASTERCRAFTS

With the announcement of the Vault Edition for Black Ops 6, 5 insane looking Mastercrafts were shown & will be available for use at launch for any game mode of your choice. Recent marketing for the Vault Edition also revealed the names of these Mastercrafts, as well as what weapons they are for.

Official Black Ops 6 Graphic Showcasing the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Mastercraft Weapons
  • The “Plague Doctor” Blueprint for the AMES 85 (Assault Rifle)
  • The “Mind’s Eye” Blueprint for the Combat Knife (Melee)
  • The “Scourge” Blueprint for the Jackal PDW (SMG)
  • The “Brainstorm” Blueprint for the LR 7.62 (Sniper Rifle)
  • The “Unrepentant” Blueprint for the Marine SP (Shotgun)

Again, you’ll gain access to all 5 of these Mastercrafts at launch when you pick up the Vault Edition of Black Ops 6. Given the past betas of MW2 & MW3, they should also be available for use during the Multiplayer Beta, though this could change.

CONFIRMED WEAPONS

As far as the confirmed weapons go, here are the weapons we know of as of right now. These have been confirmed through various promo marketing pieces, different parts of the Black Ops 6 Direct, or mentioned during the Treyarch Q&A as of a week & a half ago.

  • Combat Knife (Melee)
  • LR 7.62 (Sniper Rifle)
  • Jackal PDW (SMG)
  • Marine SP (Shotgun)
  • AMES 85 (Assault Rifle)
  • XM4 (Assault Rifle)
  • Compact 92 (Pistol)
  • AS Val SVD (Sniper)
  • 9MM PM (Pistol)
  • Heckler & Kos USP (Pistol)
  • SAF (SMG)
  • Heckler & Kos HK 9483 (SMG)
  • AR10 (LMG)
  • KSP 58 (LMG)

To note, these weapons may not be referred to as their official names in game due to legal reasons. There are plenty of examples of this, like the Kar 98.k in MW3. That is its’ official name, while other weapons like the Spas coming later in MW3, won’t be going by its’ actual name. It all comes down to whether the licensing for the weapons names was obtained or not.

12 ORIGINAL WEAPONS AT LAUNCH

It was made very clear at Treyarch Studios last week, that there will be at least 12, New & Original Weapons that have not been used or seen in ANY other Call of Duty title. A few of the weapons discussed earlier may have stood out to those who have expertise on guns, as weapons that haven’t been in used any Call of Duty title before.

There’s also plenty of weapons that have been used in previous titles. But of course, this does not mean there will only be 12 weapons on launch. It simply means Black Ops 6 will be introducing 12 entirely unique weapons to the Francise.

In some of the gameplay seen during the Direct as well as at Treyarch Studios, some clips had been shown of that dedicated melee slot. One that doesn’t take up a spot in your Create A Class, but your own dedicated melee that can be pulled out at any given time.

OPERATOR MODS OR AMPs?

First included in Black Ops 4, Operator mods were additions to a select roster of weapons that were arguably fun to use. They certainly added some spice to Blackout, but also were available for use in Multiplayer & Zombies. They presented ways to modify your weapons to use a little differently. Some provided fire-rate or fire-mode differences like the “Wild Fire” for the Spitfire SMG, which greatly increased the fire rate but also increased recoil. Or the “Echo Fire” for the Maddox RFB Assault Rifle, which would convert the full auto, to a 2-round burst weapon that cycled bursts quickly.

Compare these to AMPs in MW3, which could change the weapons into something entirely different. Take for example the JAK Wardens Aftermarket Part. These would convert the Lockwood MK2 into Dual Wielded Lever Action Shotguns, & also change the ammo type to 410 Gauge. Or the JAK Thunder LMG Kit, which converts the Sidewinder Battle Rifle, into an LMG with a large capacity mag, & increases the fire rate the longer the trigger is held down.

Four Call of Duty Legacy weapons put together in one image. The weapons are the Maddox from Black Ops 4, Spitfire from Black Ops 4, JAK Warden Shotgun from MW3 (2023), and the MCW Aftermarket Part from MW3 (2023)

Both Operator Mods & AMPs provide a level of replay-ability for weapons that you may have maxed out already, just aren’t too fond of, or even just in general. They’re fun addons you could use or were the meta for a while in their respective Battle Royale modes. AMPs or Operator Mods could add replay-ability to the post launch cycle of Black Ops 6.

They also provides a discussion of what about bringing back weekly challenges every Wednesday with each weeks’ mastery reward being an Aftermarket Part. That, on top of playlist rotations, challenge events, patch notes, etc. would provide players with something to look forward to & work towards each week. Hopefully Black Ops 6 brings this feature back, given Treyarch now has a chance to put their own spin on it.

SHARED ATTACHMENTS EXPLAINED

There have been comments regarding concerns that since only optics are shared across multiple weapons in Black Ops 6, that we could be going back to a system that I believe has not been as well received in recent times following MW3 or even MW2. That is the idea of having to unlock so many attachments for a certain weapon before it can be maxed out. This does prolong the Camo grinding process, but in games like MW2 OR MW3 that use this big shared system, it lowers the weapon progression grind. It, in turn, leads to you being able to move onto getting the camos you need to unlock, rather than having to max out a weapon (Grind it out through 50 levels). It’s a system of the past.

Black Ops 6 will likely not go down this route. More likely, Treyarch is going to blend the best of Black Ops 4, Cold War, and the Modern Warfare gunsmith, to make the best system Call of Duty has ever seen. This was also stressed a bit at Treyarch about a week ago. That they are trying to not only create the best Black Ops game, but the best modern Call of Duty title using the unified engine & all these new systems. Providing the strongest experience, while also providing the most fun experience to every player out there. It’s unlikely that Treyarch will go back to a weapon grind where it takes a year before you can max the weapon out before you can start grinding for mastery camos.

THE END

What are your thoughts on every weapon we know of so far for Black Ops 6? How do you think the camo grind will work when it comes to attachments & maxing out a weapon? Will you be purchasing the Vault Edition & using those Mastercrafts? For a full breakdown of the weapons list, check out the video down below:
